Man with no name Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Specialised's new TT machine from cyclingnews.com http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?id=/photos/2007/tech/features/specialized_tarmac_launch07/Specialized_S-Works_Transition_side_view Yes/No?
Gumpole Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Wheel colour clashes with frame colour, seatpost looks like somebody backed into a garage with bike on a roof rack.Cant believe there aren't much more aero wheels out therecranks? NO for me.
Christie Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Agree Gummy, those wheels are not cool, for die hard Specialized fans only. But the frameset is NICE. With some Zipp 808's, USE Tula bars & Record components it will rock! The frame has some nice innovation in the chainstay design and also the brakes. Question to bike shop guys (WW, Joss etc): When will these babies arrive in SA, and how much R's???
Joss Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Christie not sure, they will only be launched at Euro Bike in Sept so probarbly early next year i guess. It seems as if the seat post is maulded on skew though.
The Saint Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I think this is radical and nice to see people designing bikes that are not so mainstream - good on S Worx love it.
Diesel Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Bike cant be UCI legal, front of seat must be 50mm behind bottom bracket center.
Red Zone Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 This is not UCI legal but Specialized will also produce a bike with a layback on the seat tube to make it UCI legal, this pic must be for the Tri bike.
Christie Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I'm in the market for a carbon TT frame, the lower end Transitions (not Sworks) looks like it will fit the budget of R10 to R15k. If they only get here next year, I guess I will be TTing on a Felt. The seatpost does look a bit akward, and they seem to have followed Cervelo with the seatpost/seat tube design (like Pinarello and Orbea also did)
Jokerman Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Yip,I agree......those wheels look like someone melted a plastic bag where the hubs and spokes meet.........and the seatpost has a funny angle....looks as if it's bent forward
Christie Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Boonen's TT bike has been declared legal, he'll ride the prologue on it tomorrow. Christie2007-07-06 02:13:29
AndreZA Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Bike cant be UCI legal' date=' front of seat must be 50mm behind bottom bracket center. [/quote'] They are allowed with this seat post. http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2007/tech/features/tour_boonen_transition07/Boonen_Transition_full_side_view.jpg
