is it just me, or is it that most of the people flying off the handle have never actually had any race experience before?

why single out contador? that doped up teammate of his is the one who should have been kakked out

Viva La Contador. You gonna win this hands down. Maybe contador should have also helped Frank Schlek to the closest hospital?! He is easily the best rider here and easily rides the best bike.

the TDF is a race and will fall flat if everyone stops evrytime someone is in trouble. as for Contador he is not a poor sportsman and deserve credit as the greatest cyclist on the planet

yup - its not like AS would have hopped off and waited for AC to catch up.

its racing. **** happens in racing.

fk - i dropped a chain on the climb before helshoogte in elites. im going to write a written complaint because they didnt stop the bunch and wait for me

But thats not the point. Lets say you were in a small group contesting for the win, and someone attacked you to take advantage of your misfortune, thats what happend here. Thats desperate and cowardly.

me contest a win? get realistic ;)

but if i was stupid enough to drop a chain, then sure - go for it. its racing. i cant throw my toys because I dropped a chain?

Jip you would be the idiot for dropping your chain and the other guy would be the desperate chop for taking advantage from your misfortune.

Read my earlier post, that's my point. Vino, Menchov and Sanchez should all be equally guilty. WTF? Is Contador supposed to stop and wait for a rival whilst those three **** off up the road?

I'd like to see these nancy boy rules applied to say for instance motogp. They should have cancelled all the races till Rossi is mended again. FFS!

How come in the sprint finish on the early stages when riders fell, did the other sprinters not stop, wait for them to stand up, and re-run the final 2km again? FFS it's not fair.

Again, final few hundred meters of a race, two guys away, sprinting their little hearts out, and one guy drops his chain, is the other dude supposed to sit up and wait?

so, what you're trying to convey is that AS is an idiot?

actually, this happened to David Garret at Argus 2008. He was on tandem and dropped a chain in the sprint. ended up coming 2nd.

Did the world come to a standstill then?

no... **** happens.

You really dont get it. Alberto attacked when he saw Andy stopping. If he were already busy attacking when it happend, then its all good go ahead. What he did was a desperate move to gain some time. And no matter how many excuses and other instances you bring up, it stays a cheap move.

i agree with TNT1 and fandacious.... there and then, in the moment, there was nothing else AC could do... he had to keep going... Menchov and sancchez sure as hell wernt waiting!!!!

Oh..you want to get technical. He stood still for 28s. He struggled another 5 on his bike before he stopped. He then took another 5 to get going. Oh my sack...so AC gained 1 sec! It was totally not desperate.
