ewep and all others riding on sunday.... just remember that the temp "down south" tends to be a good couple of degrees colder than the Jhb forcast, and then because it's flat the riding is faster so there's also wind-chill to factor in smileys/smiley2.gif so yep, we gotta dress up like little michelin-men smileys/smiley36.gifsmileys/smiley2.gif

Slowpoke,

It will be great to see the visuals etc of your ride,

I think you all should dress up for this is going to be a cold weekend as the weatherman says.

Enjoy

Agreed SP.  So guys, PLEASE dress warmly!  The Lido route can have a cold bite and there are a few downhills when we start out!!!!

I bloodywell hope so!!!!! smileys/smiley23.gif  Just spoke to the vice-chair of Germiston Wheelers, he said we're in for a TOUGH climb or 2, or 3 or so on!

Hope you all had a blast out in the nature reserve today! You all looked very happy and fresh when I saw you at the end so I guess it wasn't as hard as you thought it may be!

Sorry I couldn't stay to chat it was my daughters fiance's birthday and we were supposed to be at a braai for it by 1 o'clock! Got there late needless to say.

Hope I can join you at the next one. Today was the first time I haven't had to blow my nose every 5 minutes since Wednesday, my son reckons that is because it is now empty!

Cheers

I had to blow my nose every few minutes this morning from the damm cold !!!

Even had icicles on my face at one stagesmileys/smiley5.gif.

Must say it was one of the best training rides I have done for a long time. The route is awesome, no traffic and the roads, scenery and hills in the Suikerbosrand are just fantastic.

Thanks to all who helped with the organisation and MichelleH and Hubby for support car.

Now I just need to change my cluster, you CANNOT climb those hills on a 39/23 ratio must get a 25 at least smileys/smiley5.gif.
