Ja, watch those silly yellow personality-replacement bands fly off wrists worldwide if and when the truth comes out.

I have my I-told-you-so list ready and waiting, and some of them date back to the last century.

Better keep it hidden under a long sleeve shirt then or you will be ridiculled for being a LA Diciple/Worshipper.

If you are wearing your wristband for the right reason there is no reason to hide anything. Whether he doped or not, who cares.... What he does for cancer, nobody can take away from him.

LMAO! The website link you attached in your message above is 100% correct. The Livestrong foundation does not donate millions.

What the Livestrong foundation does is create awareness about the decease. They teach people living with or without cancer the vital skills that enable them to improve their quality of life. They do that by teaching people about stress reduction, nutrition and exercise. You know that saying.... prevention is better than cure?

Livestrong is much more than just Lance Armstrong

Livestrong does make the list... not quite for the right reasons though...

"The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF), founded by the champion bicyclist and cancer survivor of the same name, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year. Wouldn’t you think a charity that receives massive publicity for having one of the most popular causes and most admired celebrities as the face of the organization would be able to easily raise lots of money? Unfortunately this is not the case. LAF spent as much as $45 to raise each $100, exceeding AIP’s 35% recommended fundraising ceiling by a significant margin. While LAF had difficulty raising contributions efficiently, it did prove to be a savvy merchandise marketer. LAF sold over $24 million in merchandise, including the ubiquitous yellow “LIVESTRONG” wristband, as well as clothing, sports gear and even dog leashes. Yet after spending $10 million in solicitation costs, the group brought in only $22 million in contributions, according to AIP’s analysis of LAF’s 2005 financial statements."

Some hurdles facing the investigations:

Bloomberg News

well whoever you are, LIVESTRONG is something we all want to or should be doing. Live the best life you can. To do that isn't always easy, and respect to those who try, kudos to those who do.

I think this topic is about whether or not Lance is going down. The livestrong brand message is a topic for another thread.

interesting point... LA's media machine has very cleverly made the man and the brand almost inseparable. almost to the point that "if you don't love lance, you love cancer"

perhaps with whats going on, we will start to see a separation between LA and Livestrong?
