I saw one at Due South today for R150 so I call the sales guy over and asks him if it actually works. He looks at me sorta quesy and asks: "If I tell you it works would you buy one?"

I shrugged, grunted something like probably not. So he goes, "The only way a bracelet around your arm is going to improve balance is if you put one on each arm, otherwise you gonna be 10g heavier on the one side."

I love honest sales people!

All you powerbalance haters must learn some science!

When newton said the world was round, no one believed him!

When archimedes said that the human evolution came from monkeys, no one believed him!

When galileo invented the atom bomb, they all said it wouldn't work.

Look what your science tells you now!

So you don't have to believe me when I say powerbalance helps you with:

Erection problems

Bad debts

Cheating wife

Car not starting

Blood when peeing

Lottery numbers

But you can always come back to this thread and believe me when I TOLD YOU SO!

Its a BIOGEN one....

USN dont make them as far as I know.....

BIOGEN=USN..... Same factory everything just different branding.... Got a friend working for BIOGEN.... he gave me a band...

Hi all,

Just to clear two things up.

1) Regarding the USN = Biogen topic.

Had the exact same query (as we often do) on the 32Gi product queries / confusion. check the conversation out if you must, under the training/nutrition forum discussions. I will pass on the exact same feedback...

"The short and saught-after answer to that question is NO. Not at all in fact. Biogen and USN are separate companies with completely different formulas and staff. Up until July this year, we had partnered to warehouse and deliver stock through USN, which is why some may have seen Biogen boxes coming out of a USN truck or bakkie. We have since moved to IHD as of 1st August and I think this will also clear up any mis-perceptions. So no, it is not USN in a red container. It is Biogen. Look at the formulations if you not sure."

2) Secondly, the performance and/or effectiveness of power bands...

Only one thing to say. Try it. If you dont believe in the concept, dont try it, because your mind is made up already and you will be waiting for and expecting no difference. The feedback received on these has been fantastic, but the only concrete evidence of its effectiveness (besides the trials, research and "tests") can only be solidified by the testimonials that come in from the concept. We had our doubts initially, and took a risk in launching our own - mostly due to the demand for them. So far, so good. decide for yourself. would love to hear from you.

Biogen

Just when you were winning friends you had to go and do that.

Whenever a product is backed by "testimonials" it's bogus. Magnets round your car's fuel lines? Hell yeah, they've got testimonials up the wazoo. Took a risk in launching something you'd identified a demand for? Where's the risk? Especially when they cost pennies and sell for plenty.

You mention trials, research and tests. Do you have links to any of them? And are any of them proerly carried out double-blind trials, published in suitably trustworthy sources? (Hint: Something on the manufacturer's website is not likely to be worth much.)

Things that work do not require people to "believe in the concept". Snake oil on the other hand does require people to "believe in the concept".

There are clearly quick bucks to be made in parting fools and their money, but it's hard to build a brand on that strategy. Even if your name is Verimark!

I like the lines "Will restore your marriage or affair" and "Helps you win the Lotto and at horse races". :D

Boigens point 2 clears everything up about power balance. The whole thing with PB is the hologram is supposed to have frequency harmonics that align your bodies electrical imbalances yada yada. So it should not make a difference wether you believe in it or not as your preconceptions cannot stop the "technology" from working. What a load of ***.

Biogen

I'm with bikemonster on this one.

I'm sure the decision to brand a few of these with the Biogen brand was purely a financial decision. Buy the stuff in China for 5c sell in SA for R300 - well it's really a no brainer.

If one needs to believe that it works then it's pretty obvious that it's a scam.

Then regarding the contents of Biogen supplements, just because the label says one thing doesn't mean that is what is inside the container.

But you already know this as you are well aware that USN were brought to book regarding this a few years back.

There is also no controlling body in SA to make sure that what is on the label is what's inside the container.

Magnets work better than Powerbalance. If you wear a magnet around your wrist it aligns the molecules in your blood so they can pass through your veins quicker, it can raise your max heart rate by 20bpm so you can push harder in a race :D :D :D

Ok so we shouldn't read anything into seeing Albe Geldenhuys cycling in Biogen kit at some road races earlier in the year?
