I've got my household, 2 cars and 2 bicycles insured with MiWay. Last week I phoned them to update some items which actually dropped my premium. While on the phone with the consultant I asked him if he can organise me cycling shirt as I've never claimed for a bike part int eh two years I've been with them. Well, yesterday I picked up a nice magenta, black and white Anatomic manufactured shirt from the post office.

Thats cool, I guess if you dont ask you dont get - but somehow I dont think M & F who have had my insurance policy for more than 25 years is that obliging.

 

I did get a nice fridge magnet once though.

I do my insurance through a broker, which is then underwritten by MutFed. I have only been with them for 15 years.

I can't even get them to give me floating all risks on my 4 bikes (of which I can only ride one at a time), never mind any other kind of special treatment, like a cycling shirt.

 

I also couldn't get them to insure me for my Subaru Impreza non-turbo STATION WAGON, even though the first and last claim I made from them was in 1997. I had to insure that seperately at a different company.

 

Maybe I need to give MiWay a call...

with a broker or direct to the insurance company, if you dont call them, they would not bother.

 

every year i make it a habit to call me insurance broker and have him review my policy on my vehicles etc. eg the insurance you take out on your car when you buy it is based on the selling price at that time. 2 years later your care has a much lower value. but you are most likely paying the same premium for the vehicle. if you meet with and accident and your vehicle is written off, they pay only the trade value of the vehicle and not the value of which it is insured for. and trade value are always crappy, then you have lost out.

I'm in the printing industry. It's the same colour that comes out of the machine. I know Cyan aswell. (BTW, that is blue)

They should have dropped your premium not sent u a shirt that probably cost them R250 and now ur advertising fot them as well.

I thought that is what your Miway Rewards were for? I'd say R250 is money well spent seeing that you are now marketing them as said before.... Even better if they bought it at Solly's R50 sale
