Take both bikes for a ride and see what you like.See which shifting you prefer and just how the bikes handle.

Also look at the wheels, that's where some companies save some cash.

What are you riding on now?

I have only ever ridden Bianchi and Campag. So obviously am partial to both. I have also never had a problem with any of the spare parts on Campag, sure the 10 speed chains in the past were pricey but even that has changed. You can buy any part of the Ergo leavers, if need be. I have Campag Daytona on my Bianchi that i leave at my holiday house, it is 11 years old and all i have changed is the springs on the shifters.

Bianchi and Camag all the way :D

The Bianchi every day of the week.

The Silverback is, in all honesty, prolly at least as good a bike to ride. But we don't only ride our bikes. We also look at them, polish them, fuss over them and venerate them. Sad bastards that we are.

Only one of those bikes would make me grin like an idiot...and it's the one that had better be coloured celeste, and should deffinly have a Campagnolo gruppo!

yeah, what he said. seriously, (although i don't really subscribe to this with my bright yellow/white/blue striped alpina jersey and '92 2.8 cannondale converted to s/s) when you really get down to it cycling is fashion first, sport second - a pure european tradition!

just take a slow ride through camps bay on a sunday morning and you'll understand.

my 2c... i'll go now B)

Get the Bianchi:

The C2C has a more upright, relaxed geometry - better for longer rides, audax comfort.

Italian heritage

R20k for a new Bianchi is a fantastic price

instant repect (whereas the silverback sits around the raleigh mark!)

Get the Kansas:

cheaper

slightly better groupset

lighter (i'm guessing!)

you'll do the argus quicker on this bike!

why not shop around a bit more? There is a brand new Trek roadbike on cyclelab online store for like R15000 with ultegra...or it was there...shop around, its a lot of money to spend without other options...

New is always fun to get, but also consider second hand stuff. You can get a much better spec for a similar price.

Ye i would actually prefer a better second hand bike but they are hard to find <_< but im going to keep lookin around.

@BeOne ...I'm riding a Giant at the moment ,its entry level but i love it!!

I think the trick to second hand is not to buy a complete bike, but rather buy parts as they become available. It takes a bit longer, but you're more likely to get exactly what you want. You could also get a frame, move all the parts across from your old bike and then keep on upgrading from there.

Ps. I have a slightly vested interest in second hand stuff since I am currently selling a size 57 (equivalent to 56) Bianchi 928 frame.
