So as I was leaving the 94.7 expo, came across some clowns at the very last exhibit trying to sell Oxygen in a can. They claim that 4 puffs of oxygen from the can prior to your race will improve your race performance.

Had an entertaining argument with the youngster trying to sell the product. Suggested that they pair up with the Powerbalance dudes.

Au contraire! The oxygen WILL help you....

...for at least two breaths.

Reminds me of oxygenated water they sold a while ago. Odd.

Also saw this on the way out.

What. A. Load. Of. Crap.

I am constantly amazed by how easily people let go of their dosh, in a recession hit world, for the sake of the latest fad.

Want health? Eat well.

Want fitness? Go and exercise.

Want balance? Ride a bike. Or a horse :P

Want oxygen? Flipping breathe.

Were people buying it that you saw.? When I walked past they looked pretty dead.

I also saw a stand selling animal seat covers, not sure if they sold any, but judging by the Euro Pro copy culture prevalent in Road racing where its even considered unacceptable to have a tubby bag, I dont imagine they did too much business.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually understand a market before they get involved in it, or if they just look at what they like, sell a few to their mates who are too embarrassed to say No, and think they will make a fortune.

My late father had a saying - "After you have sold one to all your family and friends will you still have a market.?"

Harsh, but true.

And then the lady from RICA.

"Yes sure, I want to RICA my Sim. Let me just get my proof of residence from my back pocket where I normally keep it"

Its must have been great to have had that with you, what a coincidence. The convenience must have blown your mind :)

Is oxygen not the ultimate "sober up" thingy or is just an old movie legend?

Bring 2 cans and let's see who can spend most time at the bottom of the pool!

Many moons ago my cousin moved over to Japan from the UK, he told me about 02 in a can and it was apparently a big hit over there in the cities due to pollution. I think Cajees at Princess Crossing has some tins of it.
