Ok' date=' so this is what you do. Buy a SantaCruz SL frame. It?ll cost you between R7 and R8k depending were you shop. The you buy a second hand Mtb with nice parts on, like the one Knappy is selling for R7k and Bobbs your Uncle, you got a kick ass super light weight bike, K-Ching! or buy a secondhand Santa Cruz SuperLightLOL

No way, like I said, all bepends were you buying from. CityCycles qauted me R11k, I then got ActionCycles and Gego Cycles both down to R7465.00 normal paint and R8600 for the Ano. Hey, maybe it's more now, just staying, you never know.

buddy.  save your money and buy a titus.  you'll never want or need another.

it is that good. just about any other bike is going to be a case of "it's almost perfect"

in all honesty (having just been looking around) if you want something that isn't too heavy AND has good specced components you are looking at an absolute minimum of R15000. my budget was R10000 - i overspent in the end so i've had to find a buyer for my old one (had sooooo been hoping to keep him around) and i'm having to wait a while to get tracking systems installed in my car and my motorbike. there was just no way i could've gone higher. the only FS's i liked that would've been worth it were even higher than that though (nb i am incredibly short so often even "S" size doesn't feel lekker)

you need to decide whether you can in any way afford the higher price range or if you'd rather go better quality HT within your price limits.

We have three models for the Meta 4, allowing you to find the bike within your budget. More importantly, you get the same frame throughout the range, with a logical step down in components, with each model. The other bikes are Meta 4.1, Meta 4.2.

The bike is equipped with our "contact system" suspension design. This ensures that they will both climb like mountain goats with minimal bobbing, and plenty of traction. It is a progressive suspension design, so basically, it is soft at the bottom of the travel, soaking up corrugations as you are riding on the trail, but the bigger the travel, the stiffer the suspension becomes. In effect, if the rear shock is set for your weight, then you cannot bottom out your suspension.

The bike also come with our "PST" design (Perfect Size Tubing), where the outside diameter of the tubing on our Large and XLarge bikes, is bigger than on the small and medium. This allows us to fit a 31.6 sized seat post, while the small and medium bikes have a 27.2. This makes the Large and XLarge bikes safer for the bigger riders, without compromising frame weight.
