Thanks for that, much appreciated. I will take my chances though. :)

Here's an idea - pull up next to the offender and have a nice, quiet chat about holding lines and braking.

Every "hold your line" I've ever heard has been aggressive and a "f*ck you", "no f*ck you" normally follows. No lessons learnt - no rider education - no improvement.

Today is all about bitches in mtn kit, cheating chippers, miff riders and fat rich guys. C'mon people ride above the negativity. Assholes.

:D

I did the "conversational teaching" during the Worcester Race with a early 20s ladies rider.

She was not following the paceline and jumped in ahead of the next rider. Only not to go to the front and then sit 2nd or 3rd wheel.

She nearly caused a high-speed crash.

She basically ignored me.

I will do the same thing next time. Talk the teaching. Then be firmer. Then shout. Then shout louder. Never swear.

And, I know that swearing only causes bad vibes in he bunch.

I don't get it guys. How has this turned into a race issue AGAIN? Cycling Major has given us a description of the person. She was:

* Coloured (ie not white or black or indian)

* A woman (ie not a man)

* Wearing an MTN Business kit (Yellow kit presumably)

* Was in R group

If I had also seen this person and noticed her dangerous actions, the above description would have allowed me to concur. So take your comments indicating that Cycling Major is a racist and sexist somewhere else. I don't know CM from a bar of soap but people read things that just aren't there.

Some of you would have seen my posts about my friend who was knocked off his bike by someone not holding their line during Sunday's race. He has broken the neck of his femur and stands a good chance of having to have a hip replacement at worst or 6 months rehab and recovery at best. And just because one total idiot doesn't know how to ride in a bunch.

I too noticed a cyclist wearing a blue top weaving in and out of the bunch with no regard for her fellow cyclists yesterday and in fact did something I usually detest - I shouted to her to hold her line. Because she was a HAZARD to all the cyclists around us. Yes, she was a woman, and she was white. So what?!? Does this make me a sexist? If you are acting like an idiot, your sex or your skin colour has no bearing.

it is a race issue. she raced him and WON! :clap:

Yes .... never swear and if she still do not listen give her a big slap so she falls..... do NOT switch her as Eldron the HIGH AND MIGHTY model of cycling virtue will call you a "tosser". unless you prefer that she takes you and your buddies down with her bad cycling manners.

Ok do not slap her but put a pump in her wheel, that way you do not have to slap her and offend people.

But I would prefer the slap as I am not a sexist and believe to handle all people equal.
