GuyP Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Just built this baby, my 2nd cyclocross (the 1st one is a more traditional 'cross). I decided to try a more radical approach to suspension after trying the Crater Cruise route on a normal 'cross, and having rattled myself half to death over the 100-odd kilometers. I'm about to give her a test ride to see how this will work. Danger Dassie 1

Maybe it's time to put a SA spin on cyclocross - smoothish single track and jeep track over distance is what we could offer...

MTB_Roadie Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 a bit irrelevant....but the other day while cycling around Stellenbosch I went on Bottelary road and seen 2 people with CX bikes on the side of the road, they were flying!! First i was like what a insane guy to cycle shortcuts over gravel with a road bike but when I eventually cought up to them I noticed it was to CX bikes...cant remember the bikes tho but looked like fun!

It's a Singular Gryphon, 1 x 9, with disk brakes, Blunt wheels, and drop bars. Trying to source some CX Tyres, and take it offroad. Was my Xmas present from my wife.
