Just built this baby, my 2nd cyclocross (the 1st one is a more traditional 'cross).

I decided to try a more radical approach to suspension after trying the Crater Cruise route on a normal 'cross, and having rattled myself half to death over the 100-odd kilometers.

I'm about to give her a test ride to see how this will work.

Why hasnt this sport taken off in SA yet? Reckon our weather isnt bad enough if i look at the conditions of the international races

Yep, the mud doesn't hang around long enough in SA!

Maybe it's time to put a SA spin on cyclocross - smoothish single track and jeep track over distance is what we could offer...

Not a pure cyclo-x bike, but it'll give them a run for their money I suppose. Argus on this thing is going to be entertaining - 1x9 with a 42t up front...

a bit irrelevant....but the other day while cycling around Stellenbosch I went on Bottelary road and seen 2 people with CX bikes on the side of the road, they were flying!! First i was like what a insane guy to cycle shortcuts over gravel with a road bike but when I eventually cought up to them I noticed it was to CX bikes...cant remember the bikes tho but looked like fun!

Technically not a CX bike, but not sure where else to post it...

It's a Singular Gryphon, 1 x 9, with disk brakes, Blunt wheels, and drop bars. Trying to source some CX Tyres, and take it offroad.

Was my Xmas present from my wife.
