Hey SP, sorry bout the collarbone if its any consolation I hit a taxi in June, (Taxi's Fault). Broke 6 ribs, got a bruised kidney, 106 stitches and a concussion on top. Any way point the story is: Don't listen to your GP if it doesen't hurt ride. I started again after 3 weeks off the bike,(once the concussion had lifted) and 3 weeks later I was fine, I reckon that any more time off the bike would have done me more harm than good.

racerX, the only time that i've listened to the doc 100% was with spinal injury in 2004 (AR accident). luckily the orthopaedic surgeon that i'm going (back) to is a runner and he agrees with the "listen to your body, just don't be stupid" approach

thanks everyone, i just feel like such an idiot - i had all the time while dropping though the air to twist around to rather land on the other side... but hell, we don't always think of these things when we're "learning to fly" and are more concerned about our bikes, do we?

the bike is 100% undamaged as far as i'm aware... i had a look as best i could (trying to igmore the pain) whle waiting for MichH to fetch me. it's actually at her place now - was too much effort to get it off her car by the time she got me home last night so it went with her... i'll get it back sometime this week.

(ps guys, i'm a "dudette" not a "dude" Wink )
