why do I have to keep repeating myself?

It is not PPA that does provincial approval PPA said so themselves and CSA also said it is not PPA.

It is only you that keep telling me it is PPA? I am of the impression that technically you dont know

Oh and I do expect them to get in touch tomorrow, I emailed all of them again this morning

I think the problem is you are getting mixed responses - thats why I would wait for CSA and PPA to sort it out tomorrow. but to answer you:

as you know - The process is club approval - provincial affiliate approval and then CSA approval

PPA is a provincial affiliate and your application is currently awaiting approval by your provincial affiliate - which is - PPA. Technically, that is where your application is sitting now - approval by PPA provincial affiliate. Does that make sense?

That does make sense thank you for clearing that up. Does everyone else involved in the process know this?

It doesnt look like it by the responses I received from the different bodies. The one is pointing to the other.

So PPA is my provincial affiliate but not my club, my club is not registered with PPA (for whatever they need to be registered?) and this is causing mass confusion. My club confirmed my club membership but PPA cant confirm my provincial approval. Got it!

Nothing is ever straight forward with CSA, I don't recall this provincial approval crap the previous years.

Dear Spinnekop

I have looked into this and I have approved your membership personally today. I apologize for this - it is a fault on our side.

Rgds,

Ciska

Not sure who did what or how, but thank you! License issued

  Very confusing. Member of PPA and CSA was awaiting approval from PPA.

PPA said I dont need to register. As a PPA member I am affiliated to CSA. CSA said they cant issue a membership card untill PPA confrms my membership. Got realy cross :cursing: , phoned both and told them to sort out the confusion.

Got a phone call from PPA to confirm I only need my PPA membership card. OK sorted. Next thing I get e-mail from CSA, my membership has been approved and card issued.

 :w00t: and now I have a membership card aswell.

Yippie received my racing license today!

The process: basically as I've entered the Argus (or is a member of PPA) I was already a member of CSA. I just had to register on their website which I did on 2 December. I also applied and paid for a racing license on 3 December. Then there was a bit of here and there between PPA and CSA with PPA having to approve as my club. Received approval today, 22 December, from club administrator, provincial administrator and as I've said I received my racing license in pdf format.

I entered for the Argus and was forced to pay the R75 CSA license.

I was then sent an email telling me to go to the CSA web site and register there. I did so and got a series of emails telling me I had been approved by CSA and my club - very rapidly, I must admit. I then got sent an email with my new license (also noticed I had a new license number).

No CGC tax was requested. I am in Central Gauteng. Looks like the new system has really screwed up the "normal" process, but it works better.

I was told my R75.00 CGC affiliation was included in my club fees but when i registered on CSA website it would not let me register without taking it out. Seems a loophole exists if you can enter via the Argus site and not have to pay it.

So to cut through all these 'technical explanations and ramblings' what is the easiest and most cost effective way to get a racing licence?
