run into a slight glitch with the setup, that being how to fit a computer to the stem/bars on my cinelli integralter.

normally i'd purchase the checkpoint extension but they are no longer sold for v1 of the bar and ebay isn't helping.

anyone know of some tricks i could do to get one mounted? i'm open to buying any computer that does the job. failing that, i was thinking of getting something machined to allow me to mount it.

thanks

Just a few thought nothing concrete:

1: are there special mont underneath or something? maybe a polar cs 300 or the 725x which is like a watch just strap it directly to the bar if the straps are long enough I don't know the diameter of the bar so just an idea

2: computer that mounts with an oring like sigma, maybe try to get a larger diameter orin to go around the bar?

3: as you say machine a bracket?

Hope I could help

no that's been a good help, i've contacted a local machine firm to see if it's possible and at the same time will look at the watch option (which is the most likely choice as there are some stunning options from polar/garmin these days)

thanks

What you need is a headtube mount like this

It mounts under your stem cap. This is also perfect for TT bars where computers are impossible to mount.

Get it on eBay

What the heck are those bars for, fugly imo...sorri

Which kind of computer, I would look at the o ring option ala Mecnic's post, very simple and works well if your computer has the kind of mount that will work with o rings.

I guess you're a young guy as this Cinelli Integralter bar was made before carbon bars or any other carbon parts was even made. In fact, when this bar was introduced the only popular carbon part was forks. And the only full carbon bike frame was made by Kestrel and everyone back then though it was weird.

Also, this Cinelli bar was especially made with Mario Cippolini in mind.

lastly, the O-Ring system of the Sigma's would not work. The circumference of the Integralter is extremely large. The center block is much larger than any oversized stem available.
