It not only held up well, large portions of the route was graded in the last couple of days! Even the Delico section is smooth now. @BMCfan and I rode 60km of the route today, and apart from a few mud puddles that will be dry by next weekend, it was champagne gravel all the way!

Anyone else also looking for an extra or wanting to team up? Relatively fit, just done Sani2c. I have done NonStop before and a few other long events.

My enjoy bib fits nicely top and bottom. What brand are you using?

Temu is legend. Bought some carbon sheet rols some time ago and got some LR30 resin from AMT and made some carbon parts for my other toy. Was actually fun. Made a mold first and molded the stuff and came out really good.

In my experience the best solution for a slipping seat post is to rebuild the post (make it thicker) with a carbon repair kit. You can buy carbon sheets and epoxy resin quite cheap on Temu as well. Just one layer of sheet (on part of the post that is inside the frame) and sand down to a perfect fit. It's a permanent fix and you can at any time remove and reset the post without the fear of slipping again after removal. .... if you get a new frame and the post falls all the way into the frame with no resistance...prepare yourself for a slipping post... specially on gravel...

Thanks. Yes. Patiently waiting for it to see how it looks when it arrives. Yes. 27.2mm. took the option with the seat post. Didn't take the the handle option with. Want to do that setup on it's own when i get it to get the correct length. Like you mentioned , I like the traditional frame design to. My TCR is the same and it visually just looks better. AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAaaaaa I hope for there part it's inside cable routing, or I will email the frame back to them at Alixpress. Just joking. I'm not really stress about that, A grinder and drill can fix anything 🤣 😜

coming from a bike mechanics perspective. you can actually easily use standard bar and stem with internal cable routing. what i've done for a few clients is I've drilled a hole or make a groove through one of the spacers or headset top cap depending on which will be structurally the strongest part. neatly run the cable under the stem and you're good to go.

Good luck with your build, I bought the same / similar frame and one small issue is the seat post, it is secured with a wedge kind of bracket and a small screw, without tightening it to hard so it could break the carbon I could not get it right, it would get lose and the seat post would drop after riding on corrugation, stop and lift, secure it again etc. Huge irritation. So I cut and had to insert a small piece from a coke can around the seat post and that wedge bracket to secure it properly, it is working but not sure if I will ever be able to remove the seat post again. If I buy another frame I will rather chose one that secures the seat post with a normal ring type of bracket.

Looks great, I definitely visually prefer the traditional frame design than dropped seat stays. Be interesting to hear what the finish quality is like. Standard 27.2 round seatpost? What's the cable routing? That's supposedly a major problem for some people! Wouldn't want you to have to boycott Temu if your cable routing expectations aren't met 😆

I doubt AH is there for his own personal GC ambitions. Ben O' Connor is their GC rider & Pascal Ackerman is their sprinter, would definitely be riding in support of these 2 guys especially since they lost 2 riders already.

Given how the last 2 stages went & the history of the Giro, I'm no longer making any predictions going forward.
