  1. Past hour
  2. I'm surprised your OCD doesn't explode when it sees your spelling....๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. Frustrating lack of solutions from the city it seems, it's a big enough issue that's not seeing much commitment beyond hyperbole. Meanwhile things like the Belleville Velodrome gets thrown under the proverbial bus.
  4. You just woke an OCD tick i only get evenings. 1 brake cable keeps pusing my light slightly off centre... My OCD got to a pount where i now bought a forza stem mount to keeo me sane
  5. I had to choose between the Giant Revolt and the Merida .... the Merida looked good with the internal cables, but I am not buying into that maintenance nightmare. I am using the FORZA out-front mount for the Garmin, with the light below it. It has a slight upward angle on the install, keeping everything clear above the cables.
  6. My Giant Revolt has external cables mechanical shifting thus brake and gear cables. I mount my front light under my Garmin upfront mount. Internal cables would have been much easier as the cables are in the way of the light and cause rattles sometimes / can sometimes also intervene with steering . But i can replace a headset bearings very easily
  7. Thinking the guy perhaps is talking about headset cable routing. Which is an advertised option afaik, including the Cyphers. Objectively there's obviously some kind of miscommunication, it happens, equally the frustration is understandable. Personally, as cool as it looks I think internal cable routing via the headset is silly for off road bikes. Ok fine is someone is throwing big bucks because on balance they are spending on servicing and it becomes just another line item. But other than aesthetics it serves no real functionality, other than a pita for maintenance and admin. So for entry/mid range market, generally a bit silly.

  9. Gen 1 Empire, partial Donโ€™t tell me it is dirty, I know.
  10. I think the OP was hoping that the fork was exactly the same internally. It might well But the only way to Check is to remove the fork and check for the cable entry ports on the front of the taper above the bearing crown race. If those are there then the cable can be routed through the fork with all the difficulty and las that presents
  11. Seems like on their website it states it as well for the Switch Pro, although I would not do it
  12. Reminder to everyone that the N1 stretch in and out of the CBD is still not safe for cyclists. Someone I follow on Strava was attacked yesterday. He has been commuting consistently for the past few years. From what I gathered, he used the grass verge on his mountain bike instead of the road. This likely bought him some time, but unfortunately, his luck ran out.
  13. He already losing watts with the cables exposed. Now you want him to add weight as well ๐Ÿ˜
  14. to be fair a bit of logic applied from looking at the photos photos would have saved the OP a lot of disappointment

  16. So I guess the OP was asking for FULL internal cable routing whereas the advice given spoke to partial internal cable routing. either way Iโ€™d rather take the partial internal routing anyday for easy of maintenance. Currently still enjoying this with my Mtb as I do t have to remove the brakes and fork everytime I service the headset top bearing
  17. To the OP once you've calmed down consider that you also have the option to run a Redshift or Vecnum stem with your current setup in addition to the headset maintenance access. As Michael S tried to investigate above the devil is in the details of the frame and fork internal cable guides and whether they can be accessed from the headset.
  18. how does the steam time compare to the Breville? Is there a delay between doing the espresso and being able steam? I currently have a Breville, great machine but the steam wand takes forever, I am a bit spoilt as I have Wegas at work.
  19. Extra 0.5 watttttttsssssss ๐Ÿ˜›
  20. It does seem like the fork on the empire is different as there is not a cable port visible from what I can see on the empire's fork (unlike on the frame where the plug is visible in the downtube). This COULD mean that there is no hole in the steerer on the pro one to feed the cable into inside the headset if it is this style of routing: This can be overcome with a top fed system though.
  21. Miss-communication of Titan-ic proportions I reckon..... ๐Ÿฅ
  22. He will be stoned by a mob of bicycle mechanics....
  23. The empire model above this has full internal routing through the headset by the looks of things. (just looked on a website of a certain bike shop) so don't quote me on this. If that is the case i am sure the Pro model's fork is already cut to do the same???
