Unfortunately the mechanics do not stay around long enough to be sent for any training!! In my opinion quite a few bikeshop owners are not mechanically inclined at all!!!

Mark I totally agree with your LBS!! Up in Gauteng there is only one bikeshop I will trust with any headshok or lefty work and that is Westrandcycles. Eben works on these himself. Any other LBS I think you are safer if they send the forks down to Cape Cycle Systems.

Let me warn you!! Servicing a Headshok is not as easy as it seems. There is quite a lot of skill and knowledge involved in the service. You do need specific tools for the job as well!!

I had Eastons- stunning wheels and for their price probably the best value! I had a set of Bora's- amazing wheels and there is a reason why there is a price difference between Eastons and the Bora's. If you get a good secondhand set, like the one's spidey was selling, buy them. If you want to spend R30K, dont buy them. I now have Lightweight wheels- the best of them all! There is a reason the pro's are willing to pay fines to ride with these wheels. If that is what you want to spend, buy them!! You wont be sorry! The mavic ultimates is too much of a Lightweight wheel ripp-off!!
