  1. ? Peter from GPS Gadgets in Steenberg?delivers a great service. My Forerunner 50 broke' date=' since it was still under guarentee I took it to Peter. 4 weeks later he personally delivered a?replacement?to?my office in the city. Thanks Peter! [/quote'] I don't want to burst your bubble, but personally I wouldn't call 4 weeks for a warranty replacement very good service. In fact I would be seriously hacked off that my watch was out of action for 1/12 of its warranty life.
  2. Two years ago I bought a pack of 2 direct from Avnic in Muizenberg for R80:00.
  3. I did what Bruce suggested and lifted my bum off the saddle. Unfortunately I may have gone too far because I also lifted my feet off the pedals and my hands off the handlebars. I need new shorts.
  4. It's Cycle Factory for me. How many other bike shops mail you and ask you to come round to the shop to collect your Christmas present which turns out to be a very fancy bottle of Rupert and Rothschild wine. I have never bought anything there without feeling that they really do appreciate my business. On top of that you get to talk rubbish with fellow clients like the Crow while drinking coffee there on a Saturday morning. Williams is also great. I bought a saddle there and he was more than happy to fit a vast array of saddles to a bike on the IDT till I found one that was right for me. Not many LBS' would do that.
  5. Mountain sports park public meeting Special interest groups be there on 19th Feb and make your voice heard. bmx racing mtb downhill mtb cross-country mtb trials xc runners
  6. My RS Reba fork has gone 5064km in 318 hours and my rear shock 7461km in 509 hours. Neither has ever been opened. Perhaps I should have them checked before Sani. Mind you that's only 300km round some hills in Natal, I'm sure they will last till Christmas. Until then I'll expect GoLeftys assassin to come knocking on my door.
  7. Not if you are a loyal subscriber it isn't. Anyway Stillwater said in his reply that you DO get a medal at Xterra so one of us is telling pork pies. (clue: It isn't me) ChrisH2010-01-29 00:48:45
  8. I'd be a lot more concerned about CONTermanskloof myself.
  9. Danny the cat must be American because in countries where you drive on the left hand side it is....Look right, look left, look right again. This is so that you look twice in the direction that the closest cars to you will be coming from.
  10. All those who said Hillcrest win a Noddy badge.
  11. I do this every Tuesday and Thursday morning. I always feel on a high all day after this.
  12. Equally important (particularly for Mountain Bikers and J Augustyn) is the ability to give rescue teams the GPS coordinates of exactly where you have fallen off the mountain.
  13. It's not mine but looks lekker eina anyway.
  14. Hagar does the Marahon have bearings or bushes? My wife has one and I'm damn sure it has bushes. I have the older RDS frame and I replaced the bearings on that a year or so back and I remember stripping her bike at the same time. OK I'm waffling.
  15. ? The law also says no child porn but there is plenty of that around....why? Cause people choose to watch or partake in it. Same as putting coke up your nose, illegal and against the law but people still do it. Same as No underage sex...guess what smartie pants pleeeenty going on. WHY? Cause its their choice. ? So sorry cockface, next time look in the mirror before you call people names and if you are losing sleep cause someone isnt wearing a helmet by their own personal choice then you seriously have no f**king life rush off to?Spar?they have?some on special. Colonel let me see if I understand you. You believe that young children in kiddy porn movies are there out of choice so it shouldn't be banned? And you also believe that underage girls are having sex because they have a choice and not because they are (in a legal sense) being raped so there should be no legal age limit? Then you call someone you disagree with a cockface. It's not a well reasoned argument is it? ChrisH2010-01-01 16:28:37
  16. Col'Cacchio make a Pizza called the Campagnola. CAMPAGNOLA ? Smoked Chicken, Caramelised Onion, 75 Roasted Baby Potato, fresh Thyme. It's just like it's cycling namesake in that after only being used once it turns to sh*t. ChrisH2009-12-29 08:02:20
  17. I believe it opened on Saturday.
  18. Go up Tikiedraai toward Durbanvile from Bothasig circle. Turn left onto Contermanskloof Road, past the quarry on your right and on the first sharp left hander turn right onto the tar road to the farm. Farm is approx 1km up the side road on the left. Permit is R25.00 and season tickets will be available shortly. There is also a dam at the finish area that you are allowed to swim in, which is awesome in this heat. Bung this in Google Earth for a better idea. 33?48'10.03"S 18?34'59.99"E Trail is very do-able by average and even beginners. There is a green and a black route and even the black route is no problem for the average rider. It's about 15km long depending on the route you choose. ChrisH2009-12-14 10:31:05
  19. I see your giraffe and raise you an Oak Valley white horse and a Cape landscape.
  20. Cop Porn you say. ChrisH2009-12-07 09:38:32
