  1. What do I think? I guess they way I worded it deserves this response and I apologize.
  2. Pretending one has the master moral code that will allow you to judge anybody else absolutely is a dangerous place to be.
  3. You need to add that the Eclipse is a fine looking bike. For me personally that is the first box I would need to check before I look further.
  4. It would be nice if they could find a way of safely enforcing track limits on the track itself. This constant monitoring by the stewards feels disconnected from the action.
  5. All these networks (Samsung SmartThings, Tile, Amazon Sidewalk, Apple) are useful and creepy in equal measure. Definitely the Apple network will have the widest coverage. Samsung coverage is limited to the people who have and optional Samsung Account and enable the features in SmartThings. Tile is limited to the people with a Tile app running on the phone which must be very few in South Africa. But every iPhone user has an Apple ID and this is baked right into the OS from what I understand.
  6. This is why I only buy Garmin products from Easybike. My 945 packed up, sent it back to them and they deal with Garmin. Dealing with a top notch retailer is always going to beat dealing directly with the manufacturer.
  7. I'm willing to pay for a version of the internet that doesn't have Ralf Schumacher or Helmut Marko's opinion on everybody and everything if there are any bored developers out there.
  8. Great start and drive Max. Great recovery from Lewis. F1 is alive again.
  9. Well done Perez. I'm sure we'll hear about some mystery mechanical issue he carried that meant Max was actually 2s faster.
  10. Excellent race Lewis. What a champion and hoping for more great races in 2021.
  11. Shame and they were so strongly on the way to greatest team of all time status before the final in Japan.
  12. That is specialized marketing. We are super excited to present to you the bike we always wanted to build. We started with a blank slate and didn't rest until we found perfection. 3 years later That rubbish we sold you last year, forget about it, you'll be lucky to make it safely round the local park run course the geometry is so outdated.
  13. If you sold a R60k item and there was something wrong you don't stop answering the phone because you weren't happy with the tone of the buyer.
  14. I just can't imagine Senna or Schumacher or Verstappen asking for or even thinking for a split second that they need protection against a faster teammate. If this rumor is true he is kicking any potential legacy to the curb.
  15. You can definitely connect your headphones to the Apple TV.
  16. https://www.geewiz.co.za/smart-home-accessories/105020-all-new-echo-flex-plug-in-smart-speaker-with-alexa.html You can also use a Echo Spot (about R995). They both allow you to stream bluetooth from your phone but if your source is Spotify you link you account and it will stream Spotify using WiFi with your phone as a remote. You also get all the Alexa smarts and it's about the same price as a Bluetooth receiver.
  17. I agree he is very capable, most likely the fastest driver on the grid. But if someone else wins in that car the fact will be lost.
  18. If Lewis cares about his legacy he will drop his demands and get in the car. If Russel climbs into that Merc and wins the championship it will completely discredit all Lewis's achievements and drag the car to the queen for a hello instead. If he's smart he'll reign in the ego for another year until the rules change.
  19. I think it's a better looking bike than the Epic EVO. It's also betting looking than my Cypher but that was R44.5k for a XT 1x12 Carbon bike. I'm prepared to be attacked for my comment but by going with the geometries and the if it looks like a duck theory the ride of the Merida, Epic Evo and the Cypher will be very similar.
  20. I bought a Lezyne overdrive pump a few weeks back because 4 Bar is plenty in 2020 and I wanted a higher resolution gauge. Never has inflating a tyre been such a chore. The chuck screws onto the valve but it's so tight it unscrews the valve from the rim in the process and when removing the chuck you're lucky if it doesn't bring the valve core with it. Very disappointed with this upgrade.
  21. I finally see the light. Why is there not a more capable 120mm in the lineup to close the gap to the carbon comp model which has 34mm fork. They should really make that build kit in Alu.
  22. Sorry if I'm coming across as argumentative. You have a good point. While I feel that 34mm forks are great we are discussing them in a context of a 2021 R33k bike and I'm seeing bikes up to R45k with 30mm Judy forks. 140kw is a nice baseline for a car but we can't demand it from a Figo
  23. I'm sure it's better, it just doesn't make the 32 a 0/10 fork. My previous bike had a 100mm Reba and the new one a 120mm SID with Charger damper. When the going gets fun the SID also feels chalk and cheese compared to the Reba. So for now I'll gladly take the ignorance and enjoy the new SID. A few years back people were raving about 32mm 130/140 revelations. Then when that became 35 the old one was suddenly a useless noodle. I don't buy into this. I'm also 70kg for what it's worth.
  24. When looking at 2021 models a Spark 960 costs R45k and weighs in at 14.5kg.
  25. A 32mm 120mm fork is not a noodle no matter how popular that saying has become. I have a 120mm 32mm SID and I was open minded about changing to a 34mm version but the fork feels really good as is so I won't be bothering.
