I think that left right left after Kyalami is going behind the shopping center.

I tried, it didnt like it, but like with mapmyride maybe something was not happy.

have some time on my hands, thought I'd do a GPX file. Not having luck. Komoot wont route on highway Strava wont route on highway mapmyride was working until just before houghton drive and then decided it no longer wanted to route on the highway

When I got my first Polar S510 I would download the data after every ride (remember having to put a microphone by your polar whilst it made wierd sounds), then I moved to Mac and there was no compatible application. I only started to record electronically again in 2010 when i discovered Cyclemeter.

My opinion, take it up with them. Their lack of QA has caused damage that puts you out of pocket. You probably wont get very far and will land up having to take it else where or DIY, but at least you've tried, given them the opportunity to put things right.

my racetec data goes back way way further than my strava data. Back when I started, the only way to get your ride onto the computer was to manually enter the data into a spreadsheet. Having Winning Time tell me my race duration was awesome.

When I started doing events that were electronically timed they used Winning Time, then somewhere along the line it became Racetec. The result was that just about my entire race history is on Racetec. Now I see Finish Time is timing the 947, does that mean my results are now going to be fragmented all over the place ?

I cant open the link at work (draconian internet policies block just about all sites), but if its ClicktoChat then that has been such a great app for me. Often have to whatsapp random people for work and HATE putting these people in my contact for once off convos.

yeah, walked outside this morning and vapour cloud out the mouth with every breath. Strangley did not feel that cold (cold enough for arm warmers though). Was also pretty dark at 6am, sun only showed itself around 6:30

I like the idea. Picture makes the geometry look old school (in my eyes), but i like that someone local decided to just use their manufacturing expertise to do this.

I never saw the need for lights during my normal riding, when I started commuting during winter last year I bought a set of lights as I would be riding home in the dark. It changed everything for me. I now never leave home without my lights on, sunshine or not. It has also opened up riding windows early morning where I would normally have had to wait for the sun to come up before going out. I've also found that having the rear light on even during bright daylight has motorists giving me extra space when they pass. But, shop around, that is pretty close to the price I paid for my Lezyne combo, 1000lm up front and 75lm rear.

As a to be seen light 500 lumens is more than adequate. The 30lm rear I'll wait for someone else to comment, I feel it might be a little under powered but I'm not sure. Lezyne is a great product, I'm just surprised at that pricing, but then I havent kept up to date with pricing since I bought last year.

how ? They told me to register on howler.co.za , after that I was told to find the event and use the code. I cant find the event on the howler site edit: ok so I went to the ride joburg page and entered from there.

I received a less than professional looking response with a Promo code. I registered on the page they told me and tried to find the event but could not, I assume because it only goes live tomorrow.

I remember the name, but i dont recall if I ever went there.

I'm pretty sure the proper wood guys will come in with a better suggestion, but when I bought a very large bamboo cutting board I sealed it with Liquid Paraffin.

Its better than not having anything. But as with a car, you still get people that "dont see you", so always ride defensively. Golden rule "Always expect the other vehicle to do something stupid". Has save my bacon many times, both on the bike and in the car.

I just checked my emails, looks like I also did the Black Friday deal. I think I will add another email to their inbox and query it.

Now that you mention it I think I might have too. How do you check ? (it doesnt show on my Racetec list)

yeah price seems steep, but I guess closing highways doesnt come cheap
