  1. yeah, one shift decides to leave early, next shift decides to start late and all of a sudden there is an hour plus of nobody on shift. I'm busy fighting with my security company at the moment. We had an incident a few weeks back where I disturbed someone stealing my neighbours outdoor beams. He is with the same security company, I called them, they first wanted to verify if my neighbour was indeed a customer of theirs. Then they never bothered to send someone around to check if everything was ok. A different security company responded to a message I put on NHW group, followed up with us the entire night and even went hunting for cars that matched my description. When I mentioned this on the NHW group someone from my security company sends me a personal message being very snarky. I was about to vote with my wallet, but it looks like we could be moving house soon so not going to bother.
  2. was this you or someone else ?
  3. that event uses your chip as your entry ticket so that they can charge the rest of your family to walk through the maze with you. In the days when they would post you your magazine and number confirmation, they used that number confirmation to let you through the door, but some people would photocopy it so that their WAGS could get in for free 😜
  4. I sweat just doing a 1 min plank in the mornings. Its crazy
  5. I've got a steady stream of salt water running down my head, all I need to do is open my mount and ingest it.
  6. as 117 said, thats the one that is the problem, and that is where the chap fell last year. (i think there was even a video clip doing the rounds) Just try and 90deg it and you'll be fine
  7. sorry cant access route map from work PC, but here
  8. Its closer to the end than halfway, as you get on the M1 to head back to Soccer $hitty. Hopefully they've learnt from last year and cover properly this year, if not, take all expansion joints at as close to 90deg as possible.
  9. My guess is its not a real taxi anyway. i.e. the vehicle is not used as a legitimate taxi. They use the same kind of vehicle as its pretty non descrip and nobody bats an eyelid seeing one driving up and down.
  10. second one doesnt add up. according to the article yet she still managed to catch the snake in strike position ?
  11. from the reports I've read here it certainly seems to be the same guys. Its time for someone with some motivation to setup a sting operation. Incidentally, earlier this year the bike jacking syndicate that was operating in and around gauteng were bust by a private security company.
  12. Its a straight forward trailer type wiring, if Thule cant help then any automotive repair place or trailer place, or towbar fitment centre can do it
  13. well if it was on Adderley str it must have been an Adder
  14. honestly looking at those does not look like much thought went into aesthetics or even rideability, the fork - headtube - bars look very upright
  15. or if Garmin decides to do a software update and breaks it so it no longer auto starts. This seems to happen more often than it should. (although I must say its been pretty stable for the last while)
  16. reminds me of Canon back in 2009. We're shooting Ms World, have been with them for a couple of weeks and are around a week away from the actual event. The 1 camera we really really needed decides to throw a wobbly at a dinner event. Book it into CameraTek as the only approved Canon repair centre at the time. Turn around time was something like 10 working days. No matter how much we tried to explain that this is the camera that was going to capture the Ms World Crowning for all the world to see they were not interested.
  17. After way to many days off the bike due to weather I was able to get an easy ride in this morning. but not before discovering a flat rear wheel when I took the bike off the wall, I think it had been sulking. Decided to take a chance and just pump it and ride. It held up, so either a slow puncture or a leaky valve, will have to sort it out before Sunday. met a fellow solo cyclist along the way and had a lekker chat for the last 10km
  18. I've booked a slot for just in case, but I'm not sure what time I'll actually be able to go through.
  19. exactly what I say about hippos too. Having spent many many hours in the more remote parts of the st Lucia estuary system I quickly learnt that hippos will give verbal warning long before you can even see them. Its then up to you to find out where that hippo is and make sure you not threatening it or its young.
  20. This bit, ^^^^^ and this bit are rather concerning. Not sure what I would have done on that situation though.
  21. have you checked the website, entries could still be open at a cost
  22. should be mandatory on all drivers tests and license renewals But, what this does not show the guy on the stationary bike is how you get sucked into the big vehicle as it passes.
