  1. I have found this too
  2. I'm currently very tempted by this offer
  3. Droo is correct, Giant do a GoPro mount that bolts to the bottom of the Hydraulic system. I'm currently using the light mount. https://www.giant-bicycles.com/au/conduct-hydraulic-disc-brakes---adapter-pack--my19-my20-bicycles-
  4. in that case cradle makes perfect sense. Depending on where exactly you stay I'd just ride to the cradle do a route and ride home.
  5. where do you stay ? personally for me, heading out to the cradle to do 27km is a big waste, but then I'm over an hour away by car.
  6. check your junk mail folder, very often these land up there.
  7. Seriously? I thought 11% is small. But yes I need to check what the battery drain is after 1 hour.
  8. always good to hear about great customer service. Will keep them in mind when I'm looking for my new MTB.
  9. regarding batteries for power tools. My dad has a Ryobi drill driver thing. strange voltage, 16.6v . He went searching for a new battery and came up empty at a couple of places, eventually he landed up at Aderndorf where they also initially told him they dont have. But whilst there he enquired on what drill drivers they have on special as if he cant get a battery he might as well replace. So they pull this drill off the shelf, he looks at it and the battery is the same voltage as he needs. Takes the battery off and it looks very similar. Plugs it into his Ryobi (he took it with for testing) and the thing fits and works. Turns out other than the branding its the same thing. So he bought the new drill as it came with 2 batteries. So when looking at a brand of power tools, check to see if there arent other tools that use the same batteries, it could open up your options.
  10. In anticipation of loadshedding last night I ran an extension cable to the TV Room. Simply unplugged the multiplug from the wall and plugged it into the extension to the inverter. TV, HT Amp, fibre and 2 x Apple time capsules. With everything running the inverter reported 11% load. But we never had loadshedding at the scheduled time so could not test to see how much battery dropped.
  11. I spotted hand operated ones at Leroy Merlin on Sunday
  12. My suggestion is to visit a Thule outlet store. They will be able to look up which footpad you need and even try it before you buy.
  13. my wife banks with Nedbank. The other day we went to home affairs for new passports, because of the multiple payments (we applied for 4 passports and each payment needs to be done separately) one of the transactions was doubled. Nedbank want R150 to reverse the transaction.
  14. I was about to chip in that there was something at BRB this weekend for the little ones. I often use BRB as a halfway toilet stop on my road ride and this sunday I saw the whole Suzuki setup and wondered what it was .
  15. no just the Tshwane Classic, any event organised by Hectic
  16. what an a$$. Truly hope this chop is found and dealt with. @FondTF2 have you posted in the Stop Killing cyclists SA facebook group ?
  17. have to agree, looks like Hectic Promotions is the problem.
  18. Epic ride weather. Its one of the few apps I use so often and find so useful that I bought the full version.
  19. but I dont think it needs to be clear coted again. I've been cleaning it with car shampoo, the wash and wax kind, I suspect the wax part of that wash and wax has built up a little giving the bike a glossy look. I'm thinking perhaps some way to clean off the "wax" and then clean with something else going forward. The last couple of washes I've used either just tap water or a weak degreaser mix to clean the bike. I'm hoping that continuing to do this will slowly clean away the "wax".
  20. Loooonnnngggg term prediction
  21. On the subject of matt bikes, how do you keep a matt bike matt and stop it going glossy from cleaning ? And if its already going glossy how do you get it matt again ?
  22. is this really @Matts bike ?
