Actually average mileage for cars in SA is considered 20 000 - 25 000km annually. But thats off topic. I cant imaging doing that kind of mileage on an IDT. Thats just insane.

I do the same. Especially when we use my friends car, he has a rather cheap rack and the contact points on the clamps are very hard, so always make sure to take some old rags with me.

for a podiatrist I would recommend Michael Els. He is very clued up on ortho soles for sports, particularly cycling. I have flat feet, but I never thought about ortho soles for cycling until he made me a pair. Having the support in the correct places makes a big difference.
