If the bmx chainring is 1/8th inch, then yes, you need a bmx chain, which will likely be the case.

Formula Two was tubing supplied just for Bianchi in the mid 80's. Theres lots of conflicting info about the Formula 1 and Formula 2 bikes, but from what I read they are put together with mixed tubing from the SLX and SL and SP ranges. One site I found says that Formula 2 is Columbus SL with an SP seat tube. Whatever you have, its a real score, especially with the full C Record groupset.
