  1. I'm with no calves on this one. In fact, there was a thread a couple of years ago about this very issue and what bottle cages were prone to causing this.
  2. CWC had Conti's when they just opened the new store. They gone now though, but if you ask i'm sure they can get again.
  3. If i go into exclusive books i often check the reviews on amazon first before i make a decision on buying. Being in SA i obviously dont automatically buy from amazon, but if i knew i would get it delivered the next day at a much cheaper price it would be a different story.
  4. Here are some facts about the land access issue. Look, I know facts are pretty irrelevant on the hub, but for some they're important: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_to_roam
  5. Other than the bling, was there an improvement in braking?
  6. Well, if he knew before he posted the video then he'd be a total prick for doing it.
  7. Does the OP know that you're a Hubber?
  8. Looks like that bump on the head has made you all cranky.
  9. You kidding right? So if you push too hard on the pedals of a 30K bike it will wheel spin wildly out of control into the wall? I think people on this thread seriously need to get off their high perches and grow up a little. Maybe start worrying about your own limitations before making fun of those of others.
  10. Who needs DI2 when you can have EPS:
  11. Don't care what the real reason is, but mine helps keep the sun out of my face, preventing the dreaded sun glasses tan.
  12. And it has Campy
  13. I see the velodrome and athletics track is going to be closed next year while they carry out some building extensions. Bit of a bummer because its the only track in Cape Town.
  14. Before this thread is flooded with metrosexuals I better restore the balance with a pic of a real cyclist. Chris Hoy, 631KG leg press:
  15. This has got to be the quote of the year.
  16. If the bmx chainring is 1/8th inch, then yes, you need a bmx chain, which will likely be the case.
  17. Formula Two was tubing supplied just for Bianchi in the mid 80's. Theres lots of conflicting info about the Formula 1 and Formula 2 bikes, but from what I read they are put together with mixed tubing from the SLX and SL and SP ranges. One site I found says that Formula 2 is Columbus SL with an SP seat tube. Whatever you have, its a real score, especially with the full C Record groupset.
  18. Why not, we're not a communist country(yet). Kyalami is a business and can charge what they like. Its up to you to decide whether its worth it or not. If not then vote with your wallet and don't ride, or go build your own racetrack.
  19. I think its mainly the management and sponsors that are concerned. I spoke to one of the Aurecon riders and he says he's happy with his ride and can't be bothered about the politics.
  20. That frame is tiny. The pic is from Glorycycles. Fork for that frame weighs 533g.
  21. Lets see, what could it be. This is FRAIL we are talking about, so its probably not an eating disorder. Do you think maybe, just maybe, that its the fact that you cycle 20000 DAMN K's PER MONTH AND YOU NEED TO EAT A COW FOR RECOVERY AFTER YOUR RIDES. Just saying.
  22. Thats not officialy the case. From the Sram website: "...the especially tight tolerances of 10 Speed drive trains mandated that each PowerLock is good for a one-time application only." Having said that, i reuse mine without any issues.
  23. Thats a beautiful part of the world. In standard 5(going back a few years) we had our veldschool at Schoemansdal. I clearly remember Hanglip and spending a couple of nights on the mountain.
  24. At that price you cant go wrong. I paid that for my Racing 3's, which were a fantastic wheelset.
