  1. Specialized don't really mean it, people on the hub said so.
  2. They were never, at any point in the history of mankind, in fashion

    Bike to work

True, for Shan its probably a leg loosener to work off the lactic acid from his real workout...

    Bike to work

Doesn't Shan Wilson live out your way and commute to the CBD every day?
  5. Bought stuff from him in the past, but he's away till sometime in October. Would love to browse through his stock in person with a big bag of cash.
  6. That looks immaculate. Beautiful bike.
  7. Oom Chris snr will bliksem you!
  8. I've been getting emails recently to update my easypay details. I just ignored them, obvious fraud attempts.
  9. Maybe their replies are going to your spam folder.
  10. Its almost like you're invisible.
  11. Only Delta pads as far as I know. You can still find some on eBay. I also need to buy a set sometime.
  12. Good stuff. Will like to see what Zahier can do with a regular frame.
  13. Colnago have quite a long history with Shimano since most of the Colnago teams in the 90's and 2000's have been Shimano equiped. This year is the first year in many years that we've seen a Colnago team running with Campagnolo. I have a couple of Colnago's, all Campag equiped, but I find the majority of the bikes posted in this thread pretty damn ugly.
  14. The Extra may be worth just a bit more, but not by much. I have downloaded hundreds of photos of Corsa's and Corsa Extra's and there doesn't seem to be any consistency when it comes their design features. Both have examples of external/internal cable routing, flat crown/sloping crown forks, chromed/non chromed stays and forks. I reckon that frame features could be specced according to taste, regardless of the model you have. My 85 Corsa Extra has no chrome plating, a flat crown fork and internal cable routing.
  15. Don't you just love ignorant LBS's. Wish there were more of them around. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=eddy+merckx+corsa&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  16. Mine ends in Z, so its an 85. Ordered myself these:
  17. LOL. I wonder how often he changes them, makes wives sound like a consumable.
  18. A longer stem should help. 80mm is very short for a road bike, especially an XL.
  19. Beyond super fit you are just abusing your body. I don't think doing a grand tour is doing your health any favours, and who knows what unsophisticated drugs were being used in those days. Fignon did admit to using amphetamines in his biography. He is still one of my heroes though.
  20. Bingo. Thats a 1989 Merckx in Domex team colours. The only difference between the Corsa and Corsa Extra is the tubing, Columbus SL and SLX respectively. This is a really crappy picture that I found but your frame is second from the left: And from the 1989 catalog: Some more links: http://velospace.org/node/26614 http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77823&sid=25985734f624c75d41b7b69688ec4bcd
  21. Awesome Merckx. The Corsa's are made from Columbus SL tubing, and the design never changed between 85 and 95. You can double check the serial number at http://www.cadre.org/Merckx/ to determine the age. If its a 95 then the letter to the right of the serial number should be an E.

  23. This is a good deal for 20K: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-za/bikes/model/tcr.composite.1.cd20/8327/46786/
