  1. Looks good. You can get high quality treviso decals from www.velocals.com. They not cheap but will finish the build off nicely.
  2. Oh, and by the way, that bike has decent horizontal dropouts, so you dont need a chain tensioner at all.
  3. I love your 'Daddies Homemade Crap' agteros, although yours isn't as crappy as the ones i remember from my youth.
  4. WHAT! Rule number one. dont take the internets seriously. Rule number two, dont take the internets seriously...... Its difficult communicating in this medium. I reckon your best buddy for life in the real world could just as easily be your biggest online enemy, so i try not fret about what people say to me and if something I say is out of character or maybe a bit too harsh i just forget about it and move on.
  5. Great to see. JP is doing good things for SA cycling, one of those guys that doesn't have much to say and just gets the job done.
  6. I bought a netbook from Nivo. Service was excellent. You can track your purchase from their site as well, integrates with the courier company they use.
  7. For those you'll need a quill adapter and an oversize modern road stem.
  8. If thats a cinelli stem you wont be able to use it with your bullhorns. Its a unique 26.4 diameter, unless you can get a shim from somewhere.
  9. You can get them locally as well from here: http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.za/pTEKTRO%20RX%205%20CARBON%20TT%20BRAKE%20LEVERS/Tektro-RX-5-Carbon-TT-Brake-Levers.aspx
  10. Check out this seriously stealth Colnago. 2012 C59 Italia with the 2012 Dark Label Bora Ultra's.
  11. Huh, isn't it physically impossible to radially lace a wheel with straight pull hubs?
  12. They not stainless spokes. Exactly the same thing happened with my wife's Fuji. The spokes broke while the bike was hanging from the roof. I could also break the rest with my fingers, they were so brittle.
  13. Looking good dude, very very good. I'm a big fan of the Deda stuff as well.
  14. Thats just wrong. Next thing you'll be saying that dudes should wear light summer dresses on hot days, because apparently they're also very comfortable......
  15. I have bought from velosolo, got very good service from them. I have since found http://www.singlespeed.co.za/. Heard good things about them but yet to try them out.
  16. So long Raleigh, but time marches on. Looks like Brandon has built himself an awesome international business, kudos to him.
  17. Um, er, um. Ag nevermind.........
  18. Classic, cheesy, cycling movie from the 80's tonight on SABC 3 at 19:30. Be there or be square.
  19. Good find, shot!
  20. Read the thread, CWC has mentioned twice now that the guarantee is the same as the manufacturers guarantee. If Rudy Project don't offer a crash replacement policy(which they dont), then neither do CWC. The fact that ASG have a crash replacement policy has got nothing to do with CWC. The buyer should have asked up front what guarantees are involved and made the decision on where to buy based on that. As for the legalities of parallel imports with regards to CWC, I believe the South African courts have already made the ruling that what CWC does is within the law. For the details on that you will have to ask them, but it has been discussed on these forums before.
  21. You will need two old cassettes that consist of single sprockets. Use the spacers from both cassettes and one of the sprockets.
  22. You also need to be careful with open mould frames. Just because your frame shares a mould with a famous brand it doesn't mean it was made with the same care and control as that frame. I agree though, if you do your homework and find out who the reputable guys are you can get a really good deal at a fraction of the cost.
  23. Just playing the game like our dear buddy, this is the internets, not real life....
  24. Doesn't calling him a prick imply that he has one? I seriously have my doubts. All that travel on his bike is probably just compensating for other areas that are lacking. That's one of the reason's for dh baggies, hides the lack of evidence.
  25. Wow dude, you must friggen awesome, seriously, no jokes here. You obviously stand in front of the mirror every morning admiring your amazing physique, and whisper sweet nothings into your own ear about what a big brave boy you are. I bet, as you slip on those macho dh baggies you can't help but give yourself a slap on the backside, hey, and a little wink in the mirror for the macho boy. Careful you don't go hurt yourself now on that dh machine of yours, the chopper isn't big enough for both you and your ego.
