  1. Cool Viner. Thats a HUGE frame though.
  2. Did you seriously pay R250 for those cranks?
  3. Interestingly, its not much different to the one they still sell today: http://www.hozan.co.jp/cycle_e/catalog/wheel/C-330.htm
  4. Wow, that's awesome. I want it!
  5. Well, i suppose we can all agree that its worded to give Specialized the upper hand. Similar to shimano saying in their warranty that you're not covered unless you use Shimano gear and brake cables. Its stupid, but its there in any case.
  6. For what you paid its a total bargain, light years better than a makro special
  7. Wow, thats going to turn out nice. Really odd that an Italian frame has a French BB though. One thing that would look nice are some retro tyres. I know veloflex still make tan wall tyres but I haven't found any in SA.
  8. Not referring to you anyway, but you know what, lets get back to the OP. Thats a friggin nice frame. There is something about Specialized that makes them awesome. I think they know what they want technically but they also know what looks awesome, so they tick all the boxes for me.
  9. Look, they wont really, thats between you and your LBS and Specialized. Technically if you race with your frame its also not covered. Specialized is a huge corporate and they do what they can to cover their arses, but to shoot someone down because they have actually read and understand the warranty is a bit annoying to say the least.
  10. He wasn't fed crap at all, its written in black and white and is the official stance of the manufacturer/supplier. The fact that in your opinion it is a load of BS is irrelevant, because your opinion doesn't really matter. So legally Specialized, or any of their dealers are within their rights not to warranty a frame for any reasons that are specified in the warranty contract that is binding when you purchase a new frame. So in essence, if you can read and understand English, then you have absolutely no argument against it other than your opinion, which like I said, Specialized don't really care about.
  11. Probably not. In those days it was mostly Campagnolo. It would be interesting to know when the first Dura Ace groupsets made it to the Euro pro scene.
  12. No problem. I did see some Giant freewheels at City Cycles as well, but they look cheap and nasty. You can still get the Shimano DX ones from overseas though, but that means importing yourself.
  13. I've got one. I also saw some on the weekend at City Cycles in Canal Walk. That one in the pic above wont work, i made the same mistake by buying one of those. Looks like i don't know what i'm talking about. I have the standard BMX four pronged one that you say is too big for the token. Try City Cycles, i'm still quite attached to the ones I've got.
  14. Brilliant, where is that?
  15. Looks like an FSA.
  16. Wow, that is sexy.
  17. If anyone in Cape Town is keen, I have two MK UST's that have probably done about 20k's. Never used any sealant in them so they are nice and clean, selling for R200 each.
  18. Yip, pretty much. I just grabbed something now and its already flagged as out of stock.
  19. If you can't find in store, try online at www.cwcycles.co.za and www.buycycle.co.za
  20. I doubt he'll get anywhere near that.
  21. Well, i've got an almost new set of MK UST's hanging up in my garage that I'm not using. Those tractor knobbies don't make for good commuting tyres.
  22. LOL. Don't you just love free enterprise.
  23. I heard his gilfriend beat the crap out of him in a roid rage attack. Been in hiding ever since.
  24. If people want to start marketing stuff the least they could do is set up their website properly. Just about every link on that site is broken.
  25. Emphasis should also be placed on lean body weight. Here's a couple of online calculators using two different methods: http://fitnz.com/node/16 http://fitnz.com/node/26
