  1. I would say more like 60K
  2. I dont think those lasted 10 minutes. They sold out now.
  3. That R1000 is the overseas price, from Branford Bike. They quote $148. It would be interesting to see what the JJ price is.
  4. Agreed.
  5. If I had to get a tattoo that reflected my tribe it would have be of a Ford Cortina, or a garden gnome, or... i think you get the idea.
  6. I doubt if the Garmin will be less than 15K in SA. If you look at the Edge 500, the US retail price is $250, and it costs about R2500 here.
  7. True, but you can't run the same quarq on both your track and road bikes.
  8. You can get, but a single lever blade will cost a grand. Are they carbon or alloy levers?
  9. TNT1 at the make up counter, "But its for my bike chain, I swear"; "yes dear, wink, wink"................
  10. Maybe its the difference between the wannabes and the pros. The pros do what works for them, and the wannabes have a preconceived idea of what a cool dh bike looks like.
  11. They are not Dogma's. Not sure if they share the original mould, or a copy of the mould, but Ebay is littered with fake Pinarellos and fake Colnago c59's. Some guys openly admit to the them being fake, while other chancers try and sell them as original. Be wary.
  12. I read on some other forum that in the 80's Bianchi had bikes made in Japan using Tange tubing, so it is possibly a real Bianchi.
  13. Good for you.
  14. I've got this x-tools one. Does its job well: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=10226
  15. Do you get different sizes? I dont think my rod will fit in there.
  16. You can get those at your LBS. Seen them at a couple of shops.
  17. I sold this one a year ago to a buddy of mine:
  18. Why generalise on the fact that they are roadies. Maybe its because they live in the northern suburbs and have a superiority complex.
  19. I did some research a while ago, and there is a company that still makes a french bb. They are called Velo Orange, but you will have to obviously import it.
  20. I also saw the video, the cyclist didn't touch the car. Grb is just being a troll.
  21. I think its nonsense. People are so wrapped up in each others lives and business. If they greet, they greet, if they don't they don't, tough cookies. Cheese and rice, why do we need all these friggin rules for everything.
  22. Oh no, that's one way to lose me as a customer. If I want help i'll friggin ask for it.
  23. I hear you. I also read something by Giovanni Pinarello saying that it was only right that they spec their bikes with Campagnolo, now their frames are made in Taiwan and happily sporting shimano. Its likely that if they didn't go this route they might not have survived, so I guess we shouldn't complain in that sense. As far as the pricing goes, its disgusting that the frames cost what they do. You cant tell me that the cookie cutter moulded frames need to cost that much, when you can buy a complete motorbike for the same price as just the frame.
  24. WTF, buying a bike doesn't suddenly make you part of a lets be buddies society. I don't drive around in my car greeting all the other drivers, so why should I greet people when I'm out riding my bike.
  25. One sold on eBay recently for 82 usd, so thats pretty much a good indication of its value: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Campagnolo-Campy-Belt-Buckle-Triomphe-Triumph-/230651712215?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b3e9d2d7
