  1. I think I need a break from this thread, I’m getting all emotional.
  2. Its tough. I don't think cycling gets much funding from government in any case, yet development is happening through private funding. Just look at Songo.info as an example.
  3. So i'm not the only one. Even Il Pirata has the clear coat peeling off his carbon levers.
  4. Money talks, you know the rest.
  5. Giants are made in Taiwan and China, so they're all approximate copies of this thing we call a bicycle.
  6. Colnago teams since the early 90's were almost exclusively Shimano. It was only with Europcar that the trend was broken. Of the 47 world titles i wouldn't be surprised if the majority were won with Shimano. All those cyclocross world titles were also won with Shimano, and there were many of those. Having said that, I couldn't with a clear conscience ride any road bike with anything other than a Campagnolo groupset.
  7. How can you not love this brand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4KsgG0hpuE
  8. I see Vanderkitten and I see Liz Hatch. That M10 would look so much better with her on it.
  9. No, I've actually sold most of it. Just kept a couple of my prized possessions.
  10. You only live once. Who in this world doesn't need 50th Anniv callipers. The great thing now is that you are compelled to complete the groupset
  11. That's a very interesting Master. I have never seen one with rear dropouts like that. Would be interested to know if that was an option or refitted afterwards.
  12. Love this: More here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151986694263144.1073741884.76334343143&type=1

  14. Look, cycling on the road is really dangerous. Even here in Sydney, where people are generally very law abiding living in such a nanny state, today six cyclists were taken out by a car, thankfully no one killed: http://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-act/cyclists-injured-in-vehicular-accident-in-mascot-sydney/story-fnj3rq0y-1226856064106
  15. Because the kids who cycle to school may see you jump robots and think its the right thing to do. Only they don't share your good judgement and perception of speed.
  16. Awesome job, well done.
  17. Maestro is still one of the best and cheapest places to buy: http://www.maestro-uk.com/colnago-Pricelist.aspx
  18. The weight issue is pointless. If i spent enough cash I could get my alu Cinelli to under 6.8kg's. This might be higher grade maths for some, and maybe a little shocking for others, but a 6.8kg Tarmac weighs the same as a 6.8kg C60. Unbelievable, I know.
  19. I wish i could unsee that photo.
  20. Thats what I remember It was like in the 80's. You didn't screw up more than once on a ride, the senior guys would sort you out quickly.
  21. While you saffas were sleeping Colnago went and released their new C60. Quite rude of them but here it is anyway: http://colnago.com/c60-racing-2014-2/?lang=en And here: http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/article/colnago-c60-released-blending-tradition-with-forward-thinking-40228/
  22. You're a good guy FRAIL, the owner of that noodle must be frantic with worry.
