Ewep is jy in Desemeber daar ek gaan Klein Brak toe en soek n fietsry partner. Het laas Outenikwa en Robinson pas uitgery dit was stunning. Robinson pas is nie n vulletjie nie, maar meer rustig as dit kry jy nie op die pad nie!!!

I heard that two taxis were driving next to each other and that she got impatient and try to pass on the left in the yellow lane. If this is the case I hope she gets what she deserves. This is the new hobby for motorists these day to pass in the yellow lane, making cycling even more dangerous.

I Have personally put two water bottles through windscreens this year, the last one was through a golfs window that almost killed my wife and then blamed her and swore at her. Last Sunday we went out for a ride and a guy driving behind us hooted at us and I gave him the middle finger. The robot came and I asked him if he was having a bad day. To my surprise he told me that he has always been very concerned for cyclists safety and that he was just warning us that he was coming from behind. My jaw dropped to the tar and I could only smile. Decided there and then that I would ride in a positive manner and not get to upset about motorists and their behaviour. What a difference it has made to my riding, its not always easy to ignore the stupidity of others but it has improved my ride quality and lowered my stress levels.

No wonder I had that sandy stuff in my eyes! Ok I have a confession to make Im a in the closet mountainbiker ready to come out. Love it except my wrists and back feels like they want to explode!!!

Good advice on that last one, yup shouted at you as you went past on the tar on the way to the start, did about 5h16 and was stuffed afterwards was very boring riding on my own!!! Had nobody to complain to, sh*te you mountain bikers sure dont know how to ride in a bunch, almost crashed like ten times in the first five kilometers.

By the way thanks for ignoring me I shouted at the single speed man passing me. He He But no reaction probably concentrating on the pedal stroke!!!!

Eina sore legs after Saturday, nice meeting all you guys and gals. Cant wait for the next ride was amazed at how many people pitched up, just shows us after al the negativity on the HUB we can all still tear up the tar together. And have a ball. Roadbike or Mountainbike?????????

Yes HR Ian said he would fix it, the old men lost the laaities somewhere in the bushes,so much for being young, the ride was great. Happened in Roodepoort seems the taxis are more agro over there then in the East Rand. Geez what did the cyclist do on that side of the world to make the taxi drivers so angry.

Was riding with my buddy when the taxi almost hit him, idiot then after passing us swerved infront of us and hit brakes as hard as he could, buddy almost went into the back of him I swerved and as I passed he hit me with his fist on the chest. sh*t I almost fell infront of the cars comming from behind. I proceeded past stopped and climbed on the pavement, he then came driving towards me middle finger in the air laughing at me. What he did not realise was that I had my bottle behind my back, I used all my strength and hit him dead centre with the bottle breaking his front windscreen. Should have seen the effers smile disappear, he can go and explain that one to his boss. Im not normally agro but with this effer hitting me was the last straw.

Thanks for the ride on saturday HR it was a helluva lot of fun, Now my backside is itching for that giant trance, will have to wait until the finances allow it. Feeling better after saturday??
