  1. National champ AND winner of junior tour? Nice deal...Willehond2009-04-06 14:14:29
  2. 6 years??? You don't seem to fall on your head, so I wouldn't be bothered about it...
  3. "Thieves will not know what items have been marked with Datadots or in how many places these items have been marked." Neither will the police unfortunately...
  4. Wow, I think a lot of people don't know where petshop pets come from otherwise they would not support them! Spread the info, then people will wake up.
  5. Thanks Onetime. It took a moment to digest that post Snot green is not my ideal colour
  6. I mean you should just do it and enjoy it! If every act was a warranty averse act you would have a very boring life. Spray it, pimp it, do what YOU want!!! It's only a bicycle. I've got loads of bits arriving to build soon Let the pimping begin!
  7. Only a person without a heart would soil a Specialized bike with another paintjob!
  8. I think so Onetime, but most of us don't seem to go through frames as regularly as you! If you paint a frame, you clearly are not that bothered about costs as it's more an act of love than an technical enhancement. Come on, it's only a bicycle!
  9. Nice to see that it's being lovingly looked after! That paintjob is pure craftmanship (and art!) Looks like money very well spent
  10. I see it's that time of the year again, light building time!!! Enjoy the darkness suckers!
  11. Which means the "too good" rumours will start...
  12. I am also shocked. colonel you will be. I stopped bothering with HR after about 6 months with the PT but I do actually think that there is an "efficiency" aspect still to be studied - that is generating the most power for the least energy expenditure. more watts for less heart rate I did an interesting experiment yesterday. Did my normal 3x15min intervals and focussed on getting a smooth pedal stroke. You know: push-sweep-pull, rather than my usual stomping and it made a HUGE difference! Couldn't believe the power stats and I got about 10% higher figures at the same heart rate and perceived effort. That's where I love the powertap.
  13. It's in there somewhere! (361 pounds )
  14. Wow, for a starter bike it really looks good! Nice clean lines and classy.
  15. First tell us what your goal is
  16. ...but it did help you to get a PB on a TT? Told you it's like cheating. Remeber colonel, it doesn't make you train harder, it helps you measure where you are and ride in the zone! Enjoy (even if you're not sold on it yet)
  17. .....says the man with the arsenal of powermeters!!!mmm The sad news is that I last looked at a power plot about 12 months ago & my PT hub battery is flat! Probably a good thing because they don't lie! i think mine's battery is also going. I went out hard yesterday and the figures it showed was lower than normal. Must be the battery......
  18. .....says the man with the arsenal of powermeters!!!
  19. If they mug a scruffy looking guy like you, what chance have we got? Serious? What dit they take? You ok?
  20. My Powertap comes with a HR strap, so my Polar is pretty redundant when I use it. With power data you almost ignore the HR data after a while, but one feature I would love on the PT is altitude measurement! Best option is to get a Garmin and Powertap. the Garmin collects all the HR, power, elevation and route data. More data than you could ever use!
  21. When it's really cold, nothing beats long pants with a proper fleace lining. Leg warmers only keep your legs warm (duh!), and your normal shorts don't protect the region between the legwarmers and jersey from real cold. Saying that though, you probably don't need that in Cape Town. It rarely gets that cold there and usually a pair of legwarmers will do (well, it does for me), but if you like protection against the cold, get long pants.
