  5. So, MY summary. Comparing a 24/32/42 and 26/38. 1. Loose 1 gear on each end. (3.8 vs 3.5 and .67 vs .72) 2. Being able to use the full range on the back, irrespective of the front selection. And that is it.
  6. Why is the shifting worse on a 2x10?
  7. That breakfast looks like being at Lazy Lizard........... good hey.
  8. The unit must be quite forward as you said. You must play around. Yes the magnet is extra, but when fitted it is used for speed etc. GPS is secondary. Magnet is mainly needed if you cycle in areas where GPS reception is poor....... like the moon or your bedroomlike in forests.
  9. Wel gelukkig is ons op 'n fiets forum anders sou jy dalk ander tipe advies gekry het.

  15. Ja, you early starters, what time do you get to bed? Does that allow for a glass or two of whatever the night before?
  16. My gps calculated mine to be 2232. Same tyre as you.
  17. ha ha..... good luck with that. I have only been cycling for a year and have never locked out my rear shock. Not a big issue that. NB: Make sure you like the look of the bike.
  18. No, that looks too roadie.......... wtf. (Its a nice looking bike)
  19. What's this obsession with being "scared" of looking like a roadie. Being new to cycling I have obviously missed something.
  20. odd with me as well, my resting is 70ish. When I climb on the bike I start of at 100+......... anxiety or what?
  21. Ah what the hell. Got me some and I think they are stunning. Felt quite good on my first ride as well. (and not too dirty) http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/bikes-and-gear/clothing/shoes/1274347175527-1djyxun5jghlu-399-75.jpg
  22. As background, there is a lot of bull/snake oil in this industry, we obviously learn to adapt and be careful. We also often spend money on stuff that gives marginal benefit. This is a fact of life, not just in cycling. Same for audio, photography and many other hobbies and gadgets. Now why is it that people do not like white MTB shoes when in my opinion there is a real benefit of your feet being kept cooler. I pick up this big thing against it.
  23. 183 L Giant, perfect fit.
  24. It happens much less with ME on my new 29er compared to my old 26.
