  1. Looks like Mr Taylor. He should have fellowed his daughter line through the corner. Sorry dude.
  2. His on the gravy train............ "Politics and crime, are the same thing"
  3. I phoned Drug Free Sport about 2 weeks ago. Wanted to know more about what the costs are for a test. Mbali from Drug Free Sport was extremely helpful. The cost is about R2500.00 per rider per test. But they do not charge As most of you Hubbers know, I am setting up my own Pro Ladies Team. I want my riders tested at least once a month. I think R2500.00 is a small cost to pay for any team, who has sponsors investing money in a team. I think we as team owners, managers, club captains or what eva, we need to pay more attension to these sudden spikes in our riders ability. This is our sport, if we keep turning a blind eye to bullsh*t like this, we have only ourselves to blame. We all have a part to play to prevent drug taking or cheating in cycling. I know what is going to happen when I get to work on Monday morning, "did you hear about the SA guys who go caught for drugs" or "can we have our sponsorship money back, all cyclist take drugs" For any cake who takes drugs to get a 6th at Bakwena, should just hang up his or her bike. Cherise finished in the elite mens bunch at last year race. I dont think she needed flu muti to do that. Come on fellow cyclist, this is our sport. Lets cut the bullsh*t and just ride our bikes.
  4. Try the new Lazer Helmets. The ladies in my team with long hair say that it fits nice.
  5. I have read all 9 pages of Hubbers comments. I did not see any TCS members commenting.
  6. opps
  7. Dude this is SA, the local importer will make you hang for your new wheels. As for those who imported theirs from the UK, good luck.
  8. No man Christie........... it's that stupid Creakendale that stuff the wheels up.
  9. shu that was close. I almost bought these wheels.
  10. Well done on your team. Good luck
  11. I race for the bragging rights that I wipped Man with no Name's behind.......not for the $$......hell......you would be stupid not to say the $$$ is not nice......but to come and bitch about organisers to doing a VETS ladies bunch.....that is beyond me.... What does Elsa Carstens do.......and many other ladies that races and is of a ........mmm.......mature age.........they suck it up and go kick some Elite butt.........if they cant' date=' they train harder and try again........ That's it.....enough serious stuff...... Wa my toys? O ja....dis weer UIT die kot.......ooooo cock......[/quote'] There should be just one Ladies Start which includes all ages. All types of bikes, sizes and shapes. If a Vet Ladies Cat is 30+, then riders need to beat Elsa and Anriette to get prize money, because both of them are Vet Ladies.
  12. It's a numbers game. If there are enough Vets Ladies, then I am sure no organisor will have a problem with paying the category. But, then you need to have a Vets Ladies Start or have all Ladies start in one Ladies Licenced Category. Then you can pay Elite, 30 - 40 and 40 +.
  13. Lem, Why not the have SA in the Winelands, Stellenbosch, Paarl or Mossel Bay? We need to take these big races to the people, where a family can pack a picnic basket, find a nice spot and watch the riders come past on a lap course. Who besides the silly ostriches is going to watch the riders in Oudtshoorn ? I remember when we use to do the Tour de Eden, the only time you saw people was when we finished the stages.
  14. Don't be fooled, Greg can ride track. They ride track, on road bikes, on the PMB track every Wednesday night. He can sprint. He comes from a BMX back ground.
  15. Does Elsa work in the shop ? I have never been into Karsten Cycles. Everytime i have spoken to her at races, she seems so pleasant.
  16. Oh no Willehond, I leave for Amsterdam on Saturday night. From heat of SA, to dark snowy Europe for a week.
  17. Let me set the record straight, because this is going nowhere. NASHUA with a other few sponsors, will sponsor a LADIES TEAM for 2009. There will be about 9 riders in the team. I can not publish the names of the riders as yet, as they are currently part of club and sponsor teams. I would like to thank The Legend, Liquid, mallo and Wonder Women for their well wishes. Yes like every team, we will have a few up hills to climbs, but that's part of cycling. Like mallo said, we will have a development structure. There will be a mix of experianced riders and a few first year Elites. The team will be a national team with riders racing country wide. The aim of the team is give riders the opportunity, to enjoy the sport of cycling. I wonder like the cycling community to support the sponsors of the team in the future, because without them, this team would not be possible. Team Manager NASHUA TELCOMS / SCANNERVISION / SCHWINN
  18. Wise words from a wise man.
  19. Owen, how did your Bulkmeat team do on the weekend? I dont know, they did not need my services this weekend. Jock rode Elites. I was with the Proline Team at the 94.7.
  20. Yes I must agree with you' date=' Robyn has great potential, that's why she is moving on.[/quote'] Owen maybe I do not see the whole picture here? For Robyn to unleash her potential she has to move away from Andriette and not move to the same team with Andriette! Or am I missing something here? Scalpel, Different teams have different race programs. It for the new team, to use each riders ability to the best of each riders potential.
  21. Yes I must agree with you, Robyn has great potential, that's why she is moving on.
