  1. Yes because the pen is mightier than the sword….. not. what is Alan Winde going to do? More memorial rides ? More hot Winde?
  2. It does indeed. Driver is being held and will appear in court tomorrow on charges of culpable homicide. will he rot in jail? Maybe let’s hope but I suspect a cadre will get sprung
  3. Oh f no way!?!?! not Idries!!! WwTF is going on
  4. I had hoped it wasn’t true, mistaken identity or someone else with the same name, but no . Another victim to a cowardly driver who fled the scene rushed to a car wash to have the evidence removed. Alas, there are good people in the world and the vigilant car washer spotted tell tale signs of a fresh accident and blood and alerted the cops. Nit sure if the driver has been arrested yet but the car is impounded by Villiersdorp SAPS.
  5. I believe this to be an old friend of mine, Francois Esterhuizen, owner of Manic Cycles😪
  6. Bib shorts, like saddles, are a contact point. Contact points are very personal choices because everyone is different down there. some people need a thicker pad, others don’t for rides of similar duration. Why? Different amounts of meat on the seat.
  7. Looking for paying partner or do you have a sponsored entry? what are your objectives for the event? Race or just finish?
  8. Fact is that drafting is a strategy employed up and down the field. If you don’t want to be drafted then stay in single file formation and go faster. A team could also decide not to draft and stick to a very defined pace but at some point they will be the drafted. It’s what happens when you cram 4000 riders into a 3hr start window
  9. Seedings are updated
  10. Queens then ….princess 🤣
  11. What about Wheeltop EDS?
  12. Basis the banter between the KOTAS ,… you were expecting grown men…?! I think I can see the problem but I’m not so sure yet🤣
  13. Maybe the Cycle Tour Trust should consider partial road closures . Part of the drafting problem is the road is narrow and teams block. Close the roads for 3 hrs but stagger the sectors so it’s full road closure for the fastest 20 or 30 teams. This gives them the opportunity to pass with out latching on. Marshall’s do the rest and drafting can be more strictly policed
  14. Well… it is your teeth too do with them what you please
  15. If you have to ask you’ll never qualify…. #justsaying
  16. He’s not there then he’s not there. Unless he’s doing a “Frans Hermann” for fear of UCI retribution. maybe John doesn’t want his new prize to play with the riff raff…? rumours rumours everywhere
  17. And men being men we will make it as hard as it can be ….because because this is the way
  18. Seeding is typically published before a seeding event. DC does contribute to your seeding but only the team time counts toward your seeding. They would have run a seeding update in the background and used that to assist seeding teams for the DC (fastest 4 riders seeding index average). I suspect the updated seeding will only be published post DC once the KoTAS has been awarded
  19. Thanks for YOUR perspective. How many guys actually followed that similar strategy. feedback i was getting was the pace was high and many riders were just hanging on for as long as they could then dropped to save their legs and get to the finish,
  20. They used it for dc seeding but it’s not published for whatever political reasons
  21. Yes you can buy it online and collect at registration. Use the team joining link your team captain sent you. Or you can purchase at registration if you’re the one registering your team
  22. So unless my eyes were very much deceiving me in the a certain belgian rider was out on a bit of windy peninsula doddle with the RH77 teeam this morning....
  23. Epic Wc is ideal as a gravel bike because you set up the shock with 0mm sag . when the suspension moves there Is no chain growth. you are limited to min 80mm fork or the pedals strikes will make orthopaedic surgeon wealthier. because of the zero chain growth when the suspension moves you can get away with a little wider on the chainline too without affecting performance in the two largest sprockets of a 10-52 cassette
  24. Nice kit, better than previous years. the corporate graphic designer must have bought a bike in the past year hey?
