  1. That just won’t work here. I’d rather just support Cabal because I’d buy a van Rysel due to the value the brand offers. That value will just be eroded through a high street store.
  2. They’d sell well if sold in SA. Good competition for TitanRacing assuming decathlon brings them in and sells direct to consumer because we just know a distributor will be looking to pay off a few Porsches with these….
  3. None in SA at the moment. Bikemob was the last distributor but they shut down a few years ago
  4. Even if those riders were being coached by “the company” at the time that does not implicate “the company” since many elite athletes have their coach and an advisor and a nutritionist and whoever else they need that can provide their needs. Lance had dr Ferrari and a more visible coach ( can’t remember the name) plus motorman. rourckes doping was as obvious as the midday sun in a dessert. He went from absolutely nowhere to suddenly outsprinting the front of an international XCO field. Even Rob Warner asked what’s going on there where did that come from…
  5. Hitler said the same about the Jews in the 1930’s…he just used economic dominance as an excuse….... slippery slope she’s on..// slippery slope
  6. Coaches also sign an oath and have to complete the anti doping training through WADA. They’re can be determined to be complicit to the athletes transgressions. CSA now requires all athletes, their coaches and support crewto take the anti doping training!
  7. Yes he was quite a revelation wasn’t he. And now that he’s not racing anymore he’s super chilled and revelling in the Mr XCOBrasil persona. his commentary plus Bart and Oil was very insightful. I did still miss Rob to provide zone 7 heart rate
  8. Yes he had quite a large block of training over the summer. I figured he was going to emerge strongest on the team it didn't play out like that in the XCC. Todays result should boost his confidence. We have Luke Moir coming up to support Alan in the elites in 2026 and there's more SA talent in the pipeline so hopefully we qualify for two spots in LA in 2028. Tyler Jacobs also did quite well in U23 considering she is going to struggle to get to all the races unless a sponsor comes on board after the Computer Mania team folded. And lets not forget to celebrate the SA coaches behind these kids, the guys and gals at Science2Sport, DaisyWay Coaching, Barry Austin, Mike Posthumus (Specialized Factory Racing) and John Wakefield (looking after Matt Beers)
  9. A bit of power play between Victor and Martin. Martin was trying to impress upon Victor the importance of team work. The French have 2 slots for the men and two for the women in Paris. The women will most likely be PFP and Loana. The men is a bit of a turkey shoot. Joshua Dubau Victor Koretzky Jordan Sarrou Adrien Boichis Titouan Carrod They're all a bit desperate to get early results. Kossman I think is qualified already
  10. Alan started 4th row in 26th and was as low as 36th on lap one. Go t caught up behind some slippage on a steep climb and was down to 46sec behind by the end of the lap. Clawed back to 8th. 1) Chris Blevins (Specialized Factory Racing) 2) Victor Koretzky (Specialized Factory Racing) 3) Filipo Colombo (Scott SRAM) 4) Joshua Dubois (Rockrider Ford) 5) Martin Vidaurre Kossman (Specialized Factory Racing)
  11. They never take down a finding after it’s been published unless there’s a dispute. Its gets published when it’s a done deal. So unless the site got hacked ,…. There’s something going on
  12. I don’t think so, it’s been removed from the SAIDS website as well. There more going on behind the scenes. Go warm the popcorn 🍿 pot and fill the kettle
  13. Signing up for stay live as we speak. Had a different system shared with a mate and the buffering across the vpn was a bit frustrating so I gave up
  14. I hope Alan is saving himself for the XCO tomorrow. The team arrived later than ideal into Brasil
  15. It doesn’t look good from any angle does it
  16. I don’t think it’s a case of cam or can’t take. The drug she got pinged for is only banned in competition so she would have to ensure its levels had lowered below the threshold before she could race. So either she made a mistake with her timing of the medication or her hydration was off a few days before she raced or her metabolism of the drug was slower than it should have been or the lab results could be inaccurate. Many ifs but the fact is her defence was sub par. We can argue till the cows come home about the way she ended up going down the decision tree she did but I for one can’t judge someone whose journey I have not walked, run or ridden. At the end of the day everyone makes mistakes , some are just lucky to ge tiff lightly while others serve as warning beacons for others (who somehow still repeat the same mistakes).
  17. And I enjoyed it too. Served its purpose. At least DG just said “ ok you got me, sorry it was stupid.” And moved on. It’s worth watching the documentary on Red Bull tv about Fluckiger experience in 22 and 23 for the other side
  18. Not much you can do except give it back to the seller , specifically where the sun don’t shine. Scored damper shafts are useless, it’s a dud now. maybe @droo has a magic remedy
