Mushroom Plug is only Suitable for Round Holes You need a Big Patch for a Cut Like That Sand it Slightly apply Glue Let it Dry Place the Patch and Apply Pressure. Otherwise You Need a Very Big Mushroom Plug.

Try a Big Patch from the Inside. No Plug will Fix That tear.

I used to do it also but I Stopped because it cost me 4 Bearings and the Hassle of Changing Them. The Degreaser/Paraffin Bridged the 2RS Seals and made the Bearings Noisy, Moer Noisy.

Have a Good Look at Bicycle Helmets I've Taken a few old ones apart and cut Them in Half etc. They all made of Similar Black Polystyrene with a thin Plastic Capping on Top. Probably all made in the same Factory or 3 like Chains and Saddles.

I know you have a lot of Spares. But you don't have 25 Cassettes For Sale, Do You ? 😝

I Ride Both Merida Big 9 HT and Merida 120 Dual Suspension. I enjoy Both but I Prefer the Dual Suspension. Strava Consistently tells me that I'm Faster on the Dual. On the HT I have to use the Attack Position more and then I can't pedal, It's As Simple as That. The HT tends to occasionally Try to Throw me off the Saddle, The dual does not. Cornering is more precise on the Dual. Tail end Washouts happen on the HT Occasionally but not on the dual. Climbing is noticeably better on the dual. etc etc. If you only gonna have One Bike go for the Dual. If you can have 2 bikes then have them Both. Oh You can also have a road bike if you Want 3.

When You are at already at 150mm 10 mm Don't make Much Difference (Go For IT).

Giant is a Premium Bike and once you Become Addicted It becomes your best Buddy and Usually Riders tend to Hold On to them for a Giant Amount of Years. Also they don't sell Giant Numbers like Specialized who has their Specialized Shops and a Giant Following in South Africa and Worldwide. I want a Spez but am reluctant to Divorce my Two Meridas.

If you weigh close to 100 Kg + it is possible that you might need a Wheel Upgrade depending on the Wheels Fitted to your bike. Merida and Trek MTB Wheels in XC and Above Bikes can carry Riders of +- 120Kg + 15Kg for the Bike = 135 Kg Total (Including Kit) Rider Must Weigh Himself Fully Kitted with His Cooldrink Bottle Full.

Maybe Someone on the Hub Will Say "I have One For You" Otherwise the Next Assembly UP is the HUB Phone Coolheat. They might Have the Hub Assembly. Good Second Hand Wheel is another Acceptable Option.
