  3. Just a Little Bit "OFF TOPIC" @MORNE
  4. You get Reasonably Priced Bicycles as Well. At the End of the Day You Pedal She Goes Forward. It's the SNOB Factor that makes the Price High. I got 35 mm Rims on my Mountain Bike They are Worth 35K And you think to yourself (But She's slower now than she was before I got the new rims WTF)
  5. The Damage is done Already . Nothing You can do about That. Take off the Lowers and Sand That Damage down a bit. Clean Everything UP in the Lowers and put in Fresh OIL and do your ride on Friday. The Stone is probably still inside. It will leak a bit of oil but so What. Next Week get it Fixed.
  6. Because Cyclists are Willing to Pay more for less or are we ID Ten T's.
  7. Strip it and Feel the Bearings If one is shot you will be able to feel the Rough Usually very Easy to Replace but The LBS also needs Business.
  8. Just Get an IKON 2.35 3C MaxSpeed EXO TR It will Fit and You don't Need Aggressive on the Back. Cheap Enough to Change once the soft Compound has Worn. Avoid the Muddy Spots and Enough Grip and Speed is Delivered. Excellent for Climbing at 2.2 Bar. I use it on the back for XCO Track.
  9. Already Tried a 2.3 and had a clearance Issue. Application Error Reboot
  10. In Other Areas Dischem Has it for R56.95 for 500ml Its called Rubbing Alcohol 70% Dis-Chem Rubbing Alcohol 500ml | Dis-Chem (dischem.co.za) It does not actually Degrease the Chain It is used to Surface Clean the Chain Prior to Hot Waxing.
  11. After a While the Power Bank cable can Rattle Free Specially on MTB. Prestik can Help.
  12. Pirelli Trail starts at 2.4 and DH 2.5 Have you considered a Narrower Rim ? @MORNE Should Know What's the Best Plan
  13. You Need a Wider Frame ! Otherwise you are basically limited to XC Tyres Take Your Pick.
  14. You can use any Fat to Lube Your Chain Beeswax Runs Dirty. Maybe due to Some Honey Content. I used Real Beeswax from a Swarm that Attached itself to my House Then Left Leaving the Combs Behind. Only Tried it Once. Squirt can be used to Dip Chain at room Temperature. It's Very Effective and can be Re-used. Expensive Though but Results are Excellent.
  15. From Experience If You Degrease Chains Squeaks Will Come and Chain will Not last Long. Hot or Cold Wax can be Applied to A brand New Chain. It Might Run a bit Dirty for One or Two Rides but it Will Settle Down. Major Brands like Merida do Not Recommend any Form of Degreasing. If you Store a Degreased Chain it will Rust Outside and Inside.
  16. They Don't want us to Service our Own Forks. Making the Oils Unavailable for Purchase achieves this to a degree. If you use Alternatives they can pick on you and Void the Warranty (If the Fork is under warranty) If your fork is under Warranty it might be better to have it serviced by the place where it or the bike was bought. Gold and Silver is the Spec Level of the Fork Gold is better than Silver. RL is a Motion Control Damper TK is a Turnkey Damper (RL is better than TK because RL is adjustable Damping TK is fixed Damping) The Lowers is the Same on Gold or Silver TK or RL The Oil is the Same.
  17. The Agents for SRAM are : South Africa Cape Cycles Systems Pty Ltd. 10 Argo Road Wetton 7780 warren@capecycles.co.za You Can Contact them for the Original Oil.
  18. We Are Starting to Bicker Let's wait for Friday. 15W is Available So We Use it.
  19. This is also Good. And You can Get it but not as easily as Motul and Costs More. Bel-Ray High Performance Fork Oil 15W - 1L – Bike Kings
  20. The OP is looking for 15W not 10W or 20W Of Course you can Mix But that is a Science on It's Own. Half 10W and Half 20W does not give you 15W
  21. They Don't have the 15w for Lowers. They Have 3wt Maxima 5wt RockShox (For dampers) and RS Reverb Fluid (For Seatposts)
