  1. Nope, for all PCs the password is: incorrect (That way when someone gets it wrong the PC tells them exactly what it is...)
  2. Net so! Lekka post Jackes and super informative to anyone reading and contemplating becoming a comrade! First hand experience FTW!
  3. Disclaimer: I have never run a comrades. That said, a few pages back there was a debate going on about whether the sub 5 hour qualification of a marathon for Comrades was strict enough. That's a minimum entry point. To get to that minimum entry you will need to run a marathon in that time. Using RunnersWorld race predictor I put in some times and training distance to get a race prediction for sub 5. If you can run a 5K in 30 minutes, you will need to have a training plan that has 50k per week in the build up to your marathon to get a race prediction time of 4:59 and 35 seconds. To play with the variables use this link: http://www.runnersworld.com/tools/race-time-predictor I'm currently on a program looking to up the distance and it's remarkable how much the pace tapers with the extra distance! I'm sure one of the more qualified team will add more relevant info! Jackes should be a good commentator having just run his first and a consolidated post from him about the process he followed to get tot he finish this year will be your ticket! (No pressure Jackes... )
  4. Agreed, you can only chop if you're resurrecting a bike! Yours looks fantastic!
  5. Mayweather is the more skilled fighter in terms of boxing standards, has an impeccable record and can slip attacks better than most fighters at this level. Outside of his athletic prowess, I find him the epitome of a douche bag. I will be hoping for this alone that he lays down on the canvas....
  6. Anyone on his instagram who can confirm whether they've done a lift selfie as a couple yet? Just curious about whether he's hitched to the 'right' girl....
  7. Maybe the hairdresser travels....
  8. Quite like this rebuild! If I had any abilities with a wrench and wielder I would take this on!
  9. Come on do it! Log your 5% bottom. In the end you're actually racing yourself more than anyone else here. Get your marker in so we can see how much you improve when something like this next rolls around! That's when the real bragging rights start! Yep elevated heart rate shows your body as being active with tackling something. Do the neck test. If you feel miff above, you're still okish to do something light. If it's below the neck with particularly muscle aches, then rest and recovery only! (Wait till you feel better closer to the end of the month before you tackle the mile challenge...)
  10. Sounds good! I'm in. Should be a mid packer in the internal comp! Obvious that we should only do this on a flat section and not somewhere with major downhill assistance.
  11. More so as it was unplanned! I could see that watching the tracker! Well done dudes!
  12. He's just stoked that 87clicks worth of pace setting for you worked out, as you came home just in front of him....
  13. Scott, Scott, team management bru! You have to diversify your team and that way when one of them is tapering for an event or recovering after it, you don't have the whole team on the bench! I have a cycling connection, a triathlete buddy, a regular office fitness freak and a running tjom as my team. Getting good returns on their efforts. Only had one week since the team gig that between them two didn't hit their goals! No revs required!
  14. The club will usually host a pre event run for its members so if you join before, you'll still get the chance to do the run and get a result, but just not on the official day of the event.
  15. For sure! In my case, 70% of my runs are solo so it's lekka to have the club runs to change that and add a little extra mileage to my normal efforts!
  16. Not to mention the fact that I'm prepared to run twice as far in a club run than I can typically muster running solo before I feel the urge to stop!
  17. This ^^^^ The virtual clubs have no vibe as there are no organised regular runs. I suggest visiting the homepage or facebook page of the available clubs in the area you are looking for and seeing which of these have regular runs that will fit into your schedule easily and select that one.
  18. Bunch of clowns doing it have taken over the parking lot at my favourite surfspot to get this done! Less than 400m further down the road is a monstrous parking area that would not have impeded anyone if they sectioned that off!
  19. Another old thread revived! (Loads of Tumbles in this one too!)
  20. Hahahaha! Welcome Eren!!!! Stoked you had both the courage to tackle the Comrades and gutspah to post up about it here after! Hopefully you'll share more race reports as you progress! CONGRATS on your finish! WELL DONE!
  21. Dude, you must know that I laughed ugly when I read this the first time!
  22. Looks like the live tracker worked. It was accurate with everyone else's finish. The estimation was close too. It did use the pace average of the previous split to predict.
