  1. @Chadvdw67 “Trail”. These are not legal proceedings 😂
  2. Go to Trek Wolwespruit, they have demo bikes available. That way you can try a Top Fuel, Marlin etc on the trails you are going to ride. That way you can make an informed decision even if you don’t end up on a Trek
  3. If the Titan doesn’t have UDH then how is it running SRAM Transmission?
  4. SRAM's pricing is stupid, but they usually have parts in stock and available. Shimano also doesn't make basic items available. Brake pistons being my main bugbear.
  5. Cause Coolheat never has stock or cause Shimano doesn't supply basic spare parts?
  6. Ok, so good news for me. It is a grade 2 separation only. Going to go with the conservative 6 to 8 weeks recovery with no operation. hoping time flies and I'll have a good recovery. Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences
  7. Damage to the bars is cosmetic AFAI can see. Seems I went OTB and the bike did a bit of a jumping marlin. Nothing more with no heavy impacts. Honestly, I’m more annoyed by the scratches on the brake lever and master cylinders
  8. Hi all so yesterday I took a trip OTB on my ride. As a result my basically new. XT master cylinders and bar are looking quite second hand. Is there anyone who does parts referbishment. Specifically the brakes. I’m sure a carbon expert can get the bars looking sweet again, but the brakes are a different story. Let me know 👍🏻
  9. Already hate it 😖
  10. Hi all so today was my turn to have a nasty OTB and experience a separated shoulder. I’ll be off to the specialist on Monday to see if I have an op or not. From what I can see mine looks like a grade 3 or 4. Anyone who has experience in going through this injury or treating it, please chime in with your experiences. I’m interested to see what I am in for.
  11. That's not a Zeb 🤷‍♂️
  12. One of my uncles has been mugged several times out walking and cycling in the area. Rather safe than sorry in my view
  13. easybike.co.za 100% legit. 100% reliable
  14. Personally, I wouldn't ride that area alone. Try a bike shop in the area to see if there is a club or organised ride that you can join to be safe
  15. CST is the holding company (Cheng Shin Tyres). Maxxis is just one of their brands. I remember fitting an original branded Cheng Shing to my first MTB back in the day. With a tyre liner and a tube!
  16. Order the lever from your LBS
  17. If the bike runs a UDH, make sure it hasn’t rotated backwards. After that verify b-tension and see if that helps
  18. I wrote the reply in a very calm and composed tone. If they don't want to engage it is their choice, but it didn't help with my perception of them
  19. The last offer I received from James I replied to asking him to explain how he arrived at the price he was offering as it was lower than what he had just paid a friend of mine for a very well used bike with the same initial retail price, but with mine being 3 years newer. Still waiting for a reply. In the meantime I sold two bikes for roughly double his combined offers 🤷‍♂️
  20. You need to organise the boxing if you use Triptych. Speak with your LBS, they should be able to do that for you
  21. Mute button on my remote is getting a workout between that awful Prado ad, Cecil Nurse and that financial services lot
  22. Healy! What a champ!
  23. Zeb won't fix that your issues then IMO. the 2.1 will be the same damper, with a different spring to your Lyrik. If it is a Charger 3.0 Zeb, then budget for Physio as they are widely reported as being quite harsh
  24. It is the pot calling the kettle black. I am guilty of upgrading to a 38 for my Levo. I've convinced myself it is much better than the 36 the bike came with
  25. Sam Hill dominated EWS on the old Lyrik 🤷‍♂️ Don't deny that a new fork would be a nice upgrade, but using stiffness as a basis for an upgrade for a weekend wobbler is really reaching. By all means, if funds are available and you want it, go for it. If the Lyrik still feels lekker, put money into a full strip down and service of the bike so it feels lekker.
