  1. Got Sportsfire grafting on my Mi-box yesterday. Looking forward to watching the racing this weekend
  2. The nipple looks in worse shape than the rim.
  3. Get a gym membership and go use the Wattbikes there, much easier. You will need a 26" rear wheel and trainer tyre to work with the trainer you posted above. A trainingapp of some description is highly recommended otherwise you will just be sitting there grinding away mindlessly and getting no training benefit. Also keep in mind that using an IDT with a mountain bike is a real chore as you are limited with your hand positions, and it can become quite uncomfortable quite quickly.
  4. Not the bike for me, but that top end one with all the bells and whistles looks delicious
  5. Very nice. Can see a little bit of another SA brand in the design and geometry, but that is not a bad thing
  6. Trailwolf Cycles at Taroko Trail park in Modderfontein can do the service for you.
  7. Bring that fork, I will fill it with KTM goodness
  8. Lots of good feedback in other forums from suspension techs for the Motorex 2,5wt fork oil: RACING FORK OIL 2,5W - BIKE LINE | MOTOREX
  9. Fark! Hope you heal up quick
  10. Using the method suggested I've found the seller and the wheels are turning. Hopefully everything falls into place
  11. You beauty! Thanks @BaGearA
  12. Hi There Is there any way to view favourite ads that may have expired, but have not been delisted? I've had my eye on something for a while and would like to make a move on it, but have not been notified that it has been sold. I'm hoping it is just expired and still available, if I could at least make contact with the seller to confirm, it would be a big help
  13. Biggest loop at Tranquilitas, with the most elevation. Nothing technical IMO, but it does take you down the Morphine downhill at the end, which has a couple tricky switchbacks. boven-mountain-traverse-yellow-trail.gpx
  14. Can it be derestricted? Asking for that other thread
  15. And there it is! The fallacy that only fitness "inferior" people ride e-bikes. I ride my e-bike for fun and cause I can do loads more runs and distance than on a non-assisted bike. I also ride my enduro, gravel and trail bikes for fun. Fitness has nothing to do with e-biking in my case. Try one, you might just like it
  16. Any experience with hitting the limiter on an ebike? It's not a great experience and could lead to an injury or worse if it happens at the wrong time. Also, an electric motorbike is not an ebike. I don't see the IOM racers pedaling their Mugens and Taddy sure isn't pedaling his Stark
  17. Getting the stanchion "patched" will be the cheapest way to go. Sendhit makes a kit for this task, but I don't think they have a Kashima colour option. Other option would be to get a new stanchion leg pressed in, though Fox don't sell them for any fork but the 40 so you'd end up with one black stanchion and one gold one. IIRC Robbies Bicycle Concept can do that job. The other option is a new CSU, as mentioned by @Dappere it is around $360 in the states and probably a fair bit more once it gets to SA. Getting the leg recoated will be basically impossible as there is only one place in the world that does it and it's all the way in Japan. Which brings me to the next wrinkle. Once the Kashima is damaged, it tends to flake off, so the damage will only get worse going forward.
  18. Exactly. Some people just want to go fast under their own steam, some want to die in the tech and some want the wind in their hair with little effort
  19. Headed to White River to do the MTO trails and HF segment series. Saturday’s ride was hot as hell!
  20. So do you do hard enduro on the dirt bike or not? Cause honestly, if it’s not so tech that you spend more time pushing and carrying your dirt bike then what is the point?
  21. In my experience, if the ding has made it to the rim bed you are poked. Gooi weg and buy a new one
  22. The Rise has the RS version of the motor with only 60nm of support, You'd want to compare it to other full power alloy bikes like the Giant Reign or Trance X
  23. Road e-bikes are assisted to 45km/h. Back to the MTB, there is an argument for guys hitting big jumps that the 32km/h limit is too low, especially if you hit the governor as you are on a jump face. Different kettle of fish, but worth noting. As for the cheats: I've had people I call friends blatantly cut routes at Moto Enduro races and stand on the podium with zero shame. If someone wants to cheat, they will do it. The local scene is too small and does not have enough resources to check all the bikes before events. Even if they did, a skelm KFC would usually be enough for someone to look the other way
  24. Sounds like there are a lot of people out there who need to do some basic suspension setup and bracketing
