  7. It is probably best to use a computer to determine the outcome for something completely unknown to the operator of the machine. Similar than the way banks do loan applications.
  8. My 2 daughters are 3 and 5. They both ride 20 inch racing bmxes (GT micro). The 5 year old started racing at 4 years and 5 months. I am getting the 3 year old one a bmx racing license for next year so she can start doing races 2nd half of next year just after her 4th birthday. Currently she can ride 70% of our local bmx track (Kemptonpark). I started both of them like this: Plastic scooter soon after they started walking. Then they had a 12" bike with training wheels to learn the coordination to peddal. (I found that they strugle more with pedalling than with balance. Once they could pedal comfortably they started riding a JD Bug. (those lihgt weight 12" push bikes) After a couple of days on the JD Bug I fitted the gearbox type pedals onto the JD bug and they could both cycle before they turned 3. Then maybe a month or 2 later they started riding the 12" bicycle without training wheels as the JD bug doesnt pedal very effiently. Bought the little one the 20" GT on 3 years and 4 months and she got on it straight away and rode it. She does need help to start as her feet doesnt touch the ground. Most importantly - the more time you spend with them the quicker they will get it right.
  9. I am going to St. Lucia for 5 days over new years. Any advise on roads or paths? Must I take my mtb or roadbike with?
  10. I bought 1 for my wife on OBIKE a couple of months back new for R5500. She loves it but I would propably break it. Very good value.
  11. JB sells a stand that his friend copied from another manufacturer. Just copy anyone! Then put it in production and sell them for just under R990.
  12. I would also like to hear JB on the italians copying from the Taiwanees!!!!
  13. The only way to find out is to experiment. With time you will learn your body. Just keep on monitoring. Personally I can do 90% for a race up to 1h30, 85% up to 3h30 and 75% all day long.

  17. Complete bike import is charged 15% duties. Remember that transport gets added to the cost of sales thus duties on transport too. Then 15,4% vat on everything.
  18. Ja, Including the Benoni world champs.
  19. Things to remember: Complete bikes doesn,t qualify for the free shipping. 15% duty on complete bikes. Calculate like this: (Bike price + Shipping) x 1.15 (duty) x 1.154 (Vat on final total) Also remember that crc quoted price can differ dramatically from amount charged on card due to currency fluctuations. The saving from buying a complete bike is often much greater than the 15% duty.
  20. Tighten the chain until you feel the friction. Then turn back slightly so that friction disappear. Similar than on a headset. Almost impossible to get it 100% without chain tensioners fitted!
  21. Vat is thus calculated at an effective 15,4% You also pay 15,4% VAT on the shipping charges.
