  1. wise words. Thanks
  2. Hi there Hubbers I was hoping someone out there has the same thing or can help. Whenever I am competing in an event and my heart rate spikes I feel sick. I have to wait for my heart rate to go down and then I can continue until the same thing happens a couple minutes later. I doesn't happen when I run unless my heart is spiking while running up a mountain. I don't think it is what i am eating as I have tried all different combinations. It is getting to a stage now where I don't give 100% to avoid the feeling. Someone mentioned that it could be motion sickness? Any ideas or cures welcome Best wishes T.
  3. Hey Gunston PM me you mail address.
  4. If you Living in the City Bowl then ATC and would be the best choice. Steves Embark group members are also great bunch and really down to earth as well.
  5. If you going to be focussing on the longer events like Ironman, challenge cape town etc would it not be better to get a TT Bike and just change the handle bars for the non draft races. I am no pro at bikes so advice welcome.

HI There Niel Terry from Xterra Wetsuits and now Triathlon gear here. Ja I agree with the above comments regarding buying second hand. What I suggest is if you can let me know if you just want to do one event or if you want to get into the sport. I will be happy to rent a suit out for the event that you are doing. if you decide to buy then I dedcut the rental amount off the sale price. sizing is very NB Gadget is showing you the Xterra wetsuits Sizing chart. I have the metric version and in Xterra sizing you would fit nicely into a med LRG. Nothing is set in stone though as also mentioned above you will only really know once you test the suit in the water. If the sizing is wrong we swop out simple as that. This is my number 0794824658 and lets talk about your options and any help that you may need. Best wishes Terry Xterra Wetsuits and Gear SA
  8. Howzit Guys Terry from Xterra here. Rudi H does have a point if you swimming in sprint tri in a dam then a la speedo or tri suit could be the best bet. However if you are training or planning to do an event in the sea with cold tempretures or you are not strong then I suggest getting a suit. Use the suit in short events to work on your transition time And if you are new and dredding the swim it will also give you confidence and peace of mind which equates to less energy expenditure. check out www.xterrawetsuits.com or mail me on terry@xterrawetsuits.co.za if you need any help. Ps Sam you could be in trouble if call Ana a man Have a great weekend guys. Anyone interested in a XTERRA NEOPRENE SWIM CAP.
  9. Hi there Guys Morewood Mad I am not sure if you invested yet in a suit? I am Terry from Xterra and am round the corner from where you are. I would be more than happy to meet up with you to have a swim. You are not obligated to buy. If anything it's a test drive. I have a couple of demo suits available size dependant and you could end up with a great deal. We also do rentals so if you would like to rent out a suit for a couple of weeks prior to the event to get used to the suit and then for race day I am sure we can help you. If any of your friends and family need help. Give me a call. All the best Terry. Xterra Wetsuits 0794824658

  14. Not cool at all I dont suppose as a quick fix these guys have another bike available for you to at least train with while the problem gets sorted out? Not the best solution but at least you can cycle.
  15. Howzit. I use the Vo2 Max and Reckon it does make a difference. I run a lot of long distance and find there is a difference. I dont use it for training just racing and I find that you can get your heart rate up there for a longer period of time. My mates though think that it's my Ventolin ashma pump thats giving me the extra gear . Not sure about the side effects though like the runs etc. never experienced it but everyone reacts differently. Cheese maybe you need to do a test for us and give us the verdict
  16. Hi Flex Great stuff on doing the olympics distance. Remember to spin more to save the legs for the run .
  17. Congrats Guys. Watching every one enter transition after the swim made me wish I was taking part. Thanks to all the guys that popped round to our gazeebo to check out the suits and chat. Met some really great people there. And I am definitely thinking of making the trip up from CPT next year to actually take part. Terry XTERRA WETSUITS SA PS what did you guys think of the buoyes visible enough
  18. Hi there Guys From my personal experience the trick to jumping into the longer swim distances is to just stay calm. I find that what helps me is that I end up telling myself "Don't worry if guys are passing you swim your own race you will catch them on the run :" ) If you dont do the long one you may find your self regretting it. Even if you run out of steam towards the end of the event at least you have set a goal for next year Best of luck guys you can do it I will be at Buffelspoort to cheer you on. Terry Xterra Wetsuits SA
  19. Hi flex don't stress about the swim it will be over before you know it
  20. Tell her to go for it and ask if you can go with as you have never seen one of these videos been made. That way she gets what she wants and you get to see if there is any feelings between em. Saying no will make her wonder why she broke up with the EX. Plus if she is making any cash out of it maybe she will buy you something
  21. Howzit I have looked at clicks in Melkbos and they seem to have what yu looking for except the VO2 Max On another note I have seen that clicks are doing their own brand now too. I have compared and it looks like the same as USN worh having a look esp if you are getting good discount It's not clicks but the Pick n Pay chemist in Table view has the whole range of USN T.
