Reason i ask the question is i have sold my road bike thinking to get a mtb, but now more hesitant than ever to get another bike. A great sport for sure and even when not riding, not so cool to have a machine parked though.
Bridge cycles 021 715 0732 in CPT have 2011 Merida Matts lite 1000 at about the same price and would say this is the better option but then again seems you after a 29er and this bike is a 26er.

I am sure this topic has been raised before. However at the risk of being served i am going to ask the question again as i am leaving the road and joining the dirt brigade. What are the pro's and con's of riding either a 26 or 29?
I think a point to consider, is if perhaps these companies/sponsors whether they donate to charities and to the sport itself, if so, this will impact on their profits and so on. So no i think if you cant afford then perhaps find kit more suitable to your pocket. But hey, to each their own.
