  1. I would think if that ever happens it will be in 27.5 guise.
  2. Well I'd suggest giving SS a go first. Will be a few hundred R for a kit. If you hate it you can always add a cassette and RD later. Being a 456 I'm assuming it's a trail bike kind of build - I wouldn't go harder than 32-18 and would suggest starting at 32-20 (I have a 20T sprocket somewhere you're welcome to try). If you're around you can give my SS a whirl. It's a 29r and geared 32-17 but will give you an idea...

  4. On-One Codeine 27.5 Frameset pricing available soon... The Codeine 27.5 is built to smash the trails. With 27.5" wheels and 160mm of travel up front it's built for Enduro style epics. With a longer and slacker front end, as well as more travel, than the original Codeine the 27.5 is ready to get rowdy. It offers sure-footed handling with endless feeling suspension making it a dream for descending. Designed for a 1X drivetrain, the Codeine 27.5 offers prodigious mud clearance through its short, wide chainstays; combine these with the huge gear range of SRAM's 1X drivetrains and you get enviable climbing performance. If you're looking for a true all-mountain bike to ride over any and all terrain you'll find the Codeine 27.5 perfect -it's our new prescription for serious off-road adventures.
  5. PYGA thread beat you to it
  6. And here is part two...
  7. If I have my BikeHub history correct - Ben is Marks lightie and you guys helped provide him with that little red Giant, yes? He must have loved that experience with you guys! Nice one.
  8. Certainly hope so... contravening all sorts of other 'rules' if not!
  9. Put the gravel boots back on the X... Can't get enough of exploring my back yard.
  10. Measured it up. It'll fit but it could be tight with minimal clearance between the chainstays... Seatstays seem fine. I recommend the Smorgasbord as a rear tyre.
  11. Smorgasbord R550. Chunky Monkey R600. The Chunky Monkey will fit the rear of the 45650B. I'll check on the inbred and revert...
  12. Will do. I can write up a sort of review if there's interest?
  13. Idea? As in what it's like? I run a Smorgasbord rear and Chunky Monkey front on my 45650B. Both are super tyres and make a great combo. If you don't want such an aggressive and big tyre up front (the Chunky Monkey is a 2.4 and Smorgasbord a 2.25) the Smorgasbord will make a good front tyre too.
  14. Sunday. But I have a date with my 3 year old at her Little Mermaid party... So tomorrow I ride.
  15. Testing the 700x40C On-One Gravel Roads in the morning...
  16. 69 degrees
  17. Even more reason for actual pics then.
  18. Must be one of the very few Fireflys over here. Actual pics or it didn't happen!
  19. Plus 15% if it is a full build you're bringing in...
  20. Do it. Then it's more used and I can buy it for less.
  21. Yoh. You're selling Hens Teeth. Nice. Edit: provided it's a straight steerer...?
  22. I understand it as you've described.
  23. Agreed. But cynicism isn't going to move the sport forward either. Let's hope the UCI and CSA keep to building consistency in the way such incidents are dealt with. It can't be that difficult.
  24. Wahahaha. Hope your insurance crowd isn't reading this.
