  1. My biggest fear this time of the year. And I know that it is just a matter of time and I will come across one of these buggers on the trails.I rode over one at Hoogekraal a few years ago and those 2 seconds felt like the longest 2 seconds I have ever experienced in my life .
  2. The best is when they stand up on perfect gravel roads trying to look cool.
  3. " Put on some Kenny G " Even better the latest Rolling Stones song "Don't get angry with me"
  4. "Don't sweat the small things in life." End of the thread .
  5. Or ask for a contribution towards their medical expenses.
  6. I have also had zero problems/issues with my ebike .In particular I am impressed with the longevity of the battery. My friends have the same experience. Not sure where he got his info from that ebikes are a hassle to keep them going.
  7. I fully agree.I did a couple of races held at Gunner's Circle in Epping which was quite nice. The race was anti clockwise and fast. You quickly learned where to ride in the bunch to avoid getting dropped as the wind direction changed.Very few marshalls were required and you never crossed an intersection as far as I can recall. And then there was the popular SANLAM kermesse series for the pros and top amateurs which was very enjoyable to watch.
  8. Not sure what point you trying to make
  9. Best advice!

  20. I remember those days when the results were printed a week later in the Argus. Now riders moan because the results are not out on the same day when some of the slower groups are still out of the course. Reading the comments it is evident that the "risks" of riding this event have not changed or diminished at all through the passage of time. Crashes at the bottom of Hospital bend, aggressive riders, riders with no skills and etiquette etc. have also been there and will always be there in this event .
  21. I fully agree
  22. You hit the nail on the head .
  23. Good start !
