  1. mampara - skerp
  2. http://www.garmin.co.za/prod_detail.php?productid=89&categoryid=2&subcategoryid=10 Check the recommended price on their site. So if a shop cuts the price to draw people it might sell for R3200, but R2300, not possible
  3. try die notice board
  4. mounty it does have candence support, and you select whether ur running or cycling, so its more a duathlon type monitor than the edge which is spec to cycling. In SA the price is the same for the 2 models. I preferred the forerunner because I can go jog with it , cycle with it and take it to gym for spinning classes. Didnt make sense to buy a brick that you have to carry in your pocket if ur not on the bike.
  5. The diff isnt that much to actually make a profit too Im also sure they duffed it at the post office, surely i shud have paid at least VAT. Anyways, Im not complaining, i beat the system (for once)
  6. Remember some oaks were interested in the total extra cost for importing a Garmin Forerunner 305 vs buying it locally. I bought the 305 off an ebay store, cost $212 (new) plus $30 shipping. It was shipped on thursday, its at the post office for pickup (thats 4 business days) Total extra cost paid at the Post office ........ R68 So, the total cost of my new toy is R1762 So to places like have2have that sells it for R4050, UP YOURS! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO (can u tell im happy)
  7. Sounds like a nice setup! Maybe i must move down to durbs
  8. nee bliksem, dis vreeslik!
  10. I hope he didnt dope
  11. depends on what the instructor does also i guess, some of them make you stand for what feels like forever, that really revs the HR

  19. velo, theres still shipping fees and VAT to come, but still, im sure i'll score a bit
  20. the forerunner is between 3 and 4k in south africa, i ordered mine off an ebay store for $212 on saturday, so im still waiting for it I will let you know what the total cost came to as soon as i receive the thing! definately the best of the bunch at the moment http://www.garmin.co.za/prod_detail.php?productid=109&categoryid=2&subcategoryid=10
  21. nah oclv, dont get ur hopes up, im sure its mine
  22. was also looking at the polar range, problem is thats a bike mount unit. If you go to gym it sucks. the 725 is nicer coz its a watch, you can run with it, cycle with it, take it to gym. Finally decided on the Garmin forerunner 305, also watch type unit with HR monitor for running, cycling and whatever else. Cool thing is it uses a builtin GPS receiver for speed and altitude data. no need for stupid sensors and magnets on ur bike. Can also get a cadence sensor with it.
  23. hey word ur riding old equipment dude! Time to trade in (or maybe trade up if ur thinking Felt)
  24. Haggis wherez my wheelz !
