was also looking at the polar range, problem is thats a bike mount unit. If you go to gym it sucks. the 725 is nicer coz its a watch, you can run with it, cycle with it, take it to gym. Finally decided on the Garmin forerunner 305, also watch type unit with HR monitor for running, cycling and whatever else. Cool thing is it uses a builtin GPS receiver for speed and altitude data. no need for stupid sensors and magnets on ur bike. Can also get a cadence sensor with it.
