  1. #fynbrag 😁 Enjoy dude, been following the Insta, looks amazing!
  2. I have a pair of AMP HD alloy wheels that I have been riding for little over a year now, really solid wheels in my opinion.
  3. Sonstraal dam, I grew up next to that dam, so many memories. 👊
  4. love that place, was looking forward to the Enduro...face plant had other ideas.
  5. Bought my pedals and later a set of replacement pins from them. Received great service both times.
  6. lol, I wish. Hellsend shuttle day. Ridden that track at least 30-40 times before. Went down Rona, did the rock drop into the berm left and then berm right. I knew I was going a bit fast when I transitioned into the right hand berm; I drifted up the berm and either hit a rut or lost my balance. OTB'ed really bad, did half a summy and landed about 3m from my bike on my back, feet pointing down trail. Very lucky that this was the only injuries tbh. Helmet has a minor scratch. Shoulder and leg took the hardest hits. Maar ja, so leer n mens
  7. Thanks, will have to take it easy for the first few weeks. It was proper broken. Also came with a partial torn hamstring, left shoulder ligament impingement and a lower back spasm.
  8. Looking at all these pics wants we make to go ride again! 4 weeks post collarbone surgery and greenlight checkup is only scheduled for 23 July. Sticking to short road rides and crying for now 🤣
  9. I have a pair of the Original RE casual and the Trail RE glasses for MTB. Very good value for money and they fit really nice
  10. sjoe, stunning pic Dale! Glad to you see you are riding so much again. #lekker
  11. For someone that rides Whistler A Lines, I would suggest going to top Armageddon, Iron Monkey, DH and Plumber. Probably just over 20kms with about 1600m elevation, but with that kind of experience under the belt, those 4 trails seems like the best fit.
  12. Eden is a mess atm. Hundreds of trees down after the storm earlier in April. Most of the trails you need to get off your bike multiple times. Mont Marie is in good shape though
  13. Yip all good, did the Hellsend Mates Race last night as well. Bruised shoulder and leg, hand is a bit sore. I just think that 3 hours and all those rock gardens are going to be a massive grind with a body that is not fully healed.
  14. Hi everyone I made a bit of a boo boo down Plumber on Wednesday and have decided to withdraw from Sunday's Enduro. I have an entry available if someone is interested. Send me a DM.
  15. Yeah doing the full. Will it be easy enough to go and recce alone or should I take someone along that knows the route?
  16. Lekker. I've never ridden ContermansKloof. I guess a recce is in order.
  17. Enduro is not dead. That is for sure. The 1st one at Hoogies was very well attended. Last comms I had is that Round 2 is on the 28th of April, but they need to tie up a few loose ends before announcing. I am not sure if the amount of crashes on Hoogekraal maybe is influencing the delay somehow? Definitely looking forward to #2 and Witfontein is already marked in the calendar.
  18. I upgraded to a pair of Lyne HD rims with the HE hub. Love the wheels, after about 8 months of hard riding, everything from Helderberg to Hellsend Shuttle days. I do have a big ding on the rear though, probably smashed it somewhere in a rock garden. Still holds pressure so going to ride it until it fails, if it ever does.
  19. Thanks. Finally got through on the support hotline. Couriered the watch on Friday. FYI: none of the emails I sent last week was replied to, except the product.support@garmin one. That was after I already couriered it. Now we wait...
  20. Thanks for all the other email addresses. I forwarded the support email to another 4 email accounts. Let's see if they bite on one of them. Already looking at alternatives but will need a damage report to be able to claim from insurance.
  21. Hi everyone Does anyone know what Garmin SA's response time is on support emails? I logged a ticket with them on the 2nd of February and had zero response. Tried calling the support hotline as well, just sit in a queue and no one answers. I have a 2.5 year old Garmin Instinct Solar that started having random crashes while recording activities. Makes the watch kind of worthless if you can't reliably record activities. Any other email/number I can perhaps try? Thanks.
  22. That bike was stolen in the Strand area, in October 2023. They arrested the suspect and found the owner, he is going to give his statement at the police station today. Source: our Strand NHW group
  23. all cappuccino's should be that size!
  24. A bit of a cheaper option to throw in here. Garmin Instinct 2 Solar. It's very rugged and the tactical one I have looks pretty awesome imo. Battery life is amazing, charges while outdoors, wrist HR and Pulse OX. It also doesn't mind a beating. My previous Apple Watch didn't like MTB too much.
  25. Just throwing this in here. I was at a shuttle day at Zevenwacht this morning. Pieter from VertoRack was there and was one of the shuttle vehicles. He had a 6 bike rack on the back if his car that also allows you to hook a trailer. Looks and works really well
