This is why I ride an old bike - I dont look like I could afford (although I could) a nice new MTB. I would have hubbers taking photos of me or hitting me over the head with a spade

Seems with Sweat Safe you get extra emergency medical benefits (at extra cost over the once off ICE ID cost) but I have that already through my medical aid - so I am going to go with ICE ID with medical aid number and emergency 084 124 number on it.

Cant imagine someone not loving their kids but also cant imagine someone being so stupid to not buckle them up - confusing!? Something I have noticed is no (maybe some but have not seen them yet) cops use seatbelts - good example for all!

I see (latest Bicycling mag) Morewood is bring out a ca R10 000 hardtail soon - the Yebo I think its called. Same sort of spects as the spectra by the looks of it?

I'm in! Starting at 113kg, height is 1.77m!! Lost 5 kg last year in first year of cycling - want to lose min 2X that this year.

I am in the same situation - be careful of overdoing it or you will end up like me at the moment not being able to do anything. Weighing so much and doing plenty exercise is heavy on the body and it gets hurt quickly - take 2 days a week rest till you weigh less! I am busy reading Racing Weight by Matt Fitzgerald - witch I will now recommend to anyone trying to lose weight - whether they have 5 or 35 kg to lose. It has plenty brilliant advice for people wanting to lose weight while training to the max.

Check out Solomans - last time I looked they had some good buys in this price range - old 09 or even 08 models but good bikes much cheaper than original?
