  1. Geez not good I’m on that road quite regularly [emoji35]. Sorry to hear that.
  2. I would love some feedback from guys using it while running as well. Apparently some guys mic it into a gel? Anybody willing to share their tips and tricks please?
  3. Just checked my Strava quickly. Closest I came to that was 20:54 at our club’s time trials. That was pre Comrades on high mileage legs though. Was aiming to better that until the tendinosis struck. 18 minutes is freaking quick for somebody that considers himself a non runner.
  4. Just discovered I’m neither a runner or a cyclist [emoji15]
  5. Argh I don’t know if I’ll make it or not. Have just started running again and am seeing the doc tomorrow to confirm if I can start training properly. There is still more than enough time for the training, just hope I get the go ahead tomorrow [emoji1431]
  6. I’ve been saying that for years [emoji23]. The majority of my colleagues are at their happiest when they have something to complain about.
  7. Wow. That is seriously impressive [emoji15]
  8. I used to think that my body loves Farbars until Comrades this year. Seems that after 40 km’s it only accepts real food but carrying bananas, potatoes and date balls can get quite messy. If you don’t want to rely on aid stations the best is having someone waiting for you at a prearranged location. The only option that might work is using a hydration pack but not everyone can run with one.
  9. You want to feel crap try chasing a 60 year old lady at 4:20/km and still not catching her [emoji23]. Definitely lots of rock stars here. Can’t wait to start running again and maybe seeing some Hubbers on the roads.
  10. That’s a challenge we thankfully don’t have to deal with. Spent two weeks in a Paris winter and after the first attempt at running in that cold I gave up on that idea. No amount of layering could keep that cold out.
  11. I never could run on a treadmill. Besides in winter you only feel the cold for the first kilometer. If the temperature is double digits I only wear a t-shirt and shorts. If it’s single digits i wear a long sleeved running short and maybe running tights as well.
  12. And entries closed again. For interests sake, how does Om die Dam compare to Two Oceans in terms of entries taken up?
  13. What [emoji15] glad I got my entry in then. If we start moving towards a lottery system for all these ultras it’s going to put a stop to my plans of getting my green/blue numbers before my 50th.
  14. Been struggling since ten. Might as well give up and wait until midnight.
  15. Seabee of all the marathons I missed out on since my injury I miss Winelands the most. I prefer it to Cape Town Marathon and have always run better times there than CT. Always funny how quiet everyone becomes once they hit the gravel [emoji23]
  16. Ok was Winelands this Saturday in Stellenbosch and that has quite a sting in it’s tail. Gravel climb after about 30km making it quite interesting. Well done on qualifying. From the looks of things I’ll only be able to qualify from February next year. Already started having running nightmares [emoji1748]‍[emoji3603]
  17. Which marathon was this Mudsimus?
  18. Shees that’s rough hey. Know the feeling of trying to finish a race without being able to run a km without stopping. Itb shouldn’t be the end of it for you though. I made a successful recovery from it years back and haven’t looked back since.
  19. Geez Stretch I thought it’s just us back of the pack runners that struggle with those last five km’s. Well done on your pb though [emoji106][emoji2534]
  20. Didn’t enter but rode part of the route on the way to meeting my wife in Malmesbury. Yoh those winds were bad. When I saw the t-junction approaching I thought after my left turn things would get better. Wind just tuned ja right [emoji100]
  21. You only need to submit your qualifier by beginning May if I’m not mistaken.
  22. Does that mean three downs in a row? Up 2019 down 2020 down 2021 up 2022 or down 2022?
  23. This is me not suffering from fomo at all [emoji30]. Geez the okes ran fast times at the CTM and Gun Run. Would have loved to do it but according to the doctor I’ll most likely only start running January next year [emoji30]
