Hello All, Just placed an order off CRC, total value being R57,00... Something small that, AFAIK, not too easy to get hold of here. Figured I'd go with Royal Mail - since paying 3x the value of the item on postage, aint too smart - and I am curious as to whether I simply had bad luck on my very first order (in 2009), that still hasn't arrived via RM... Will pop up a post when it's dispatched - and then report back when (if ) it arrives...

Hey! Was wondering if you were in any of those - where you at in the group photo [or PM me if you're worried about receiving too much fan mail! ] Dude. You've made several comments in this regard, on several different SS and Fixie threads over several months, about how you don't get it/waste of time/fashion statement/trying to be cool etc etc... So what gives? For someone who's apparently not interested in it, you certainly spend a fair amount of time having a dig at it? Are you a closet single-speeder? Or even worse, a fixie-freak? Oh the horror...

I guess we don't really know what happened - all speculation based on a newspaper article, and let's be honest - the media has been making some major gaffes of late... Let's just hope that someone will get to the bottom of this... The wife/government has already made it clear that she is not happy with me cycling alone anymore... I keep on trying to tell her that I always take both my *guns* with me.

Been thinking about it as well, and it does sound odd, no? They were parked at the side of the road at 06:00 in the morning, and then just randomly decide to pick on him? And if they were waiting to get his bike - why arrive in an A3? And he said they only left him alone when he started knocking on doors, and then rode off with the bike - like an afterthought? Strange days...

[Hi-jack on] I can't but help wondering if the increases in these types of attacks don't suggest a massive organised crime ring? Or am I being too conspiracy-theory like? Where are all these bicyles going? It cannot simply be that a large portion of the criminals in this country have suddenly developed an interest in healthy living, and are now desirous of owning a bike? Are we unknowingly purchasing stolen bikes back through forums like Gumtree, and dare I say it, the Hub? Are these bikes making their way into Africa - but at what premium? The rest of the world? Or are they being sold off piecemeal somewhere? Maybe we're all becoming more aware of it - which sees more incidents being reported, and thereby creating the impression that things are getting worse? Boggles my mind... [Hi-jack off] Glad to hear the gentleman is alright. I literally live around the corner from Burg street - ride up it if I'm returning from the Arboretum... cannot comprehend this happening there? Vrykyk is such a "quite" neighbourhood... And - wth - an Audi A3 nogal? Was this stolen? Were they specifically waiting for a cyclist - or was this simply an opportunity crime? What exactly do you mean? I've absolutely no knowledge of BMX frames (anymore) - so you'll need to build a picture in words (or take a blinkin' photo!!)... Your description of moving the wheel closer/further away from the BB is what's confusing me... How do you do this - do all BMW frames have horizontal/adjustable dropouts?

Updated to Firefox 4 this afternoon - at the install, message popped up telling me that my Garmin Communicator plugin/add-on(?) was incompatible with the next Firefox version, and was being disabled... Which might, or might not, mean anything... Will pop something up when I try and upload my rides - and see if it works...
